Customer Reviews for Days Inn Savannah Airport

Price is right - posted on 11/10/2006

This was a very nice motel; clean and comfortable. Very flat pillows--bring your own. Complementary breakfast was OK; nothing outstanding about it. It was a little tricky to find and out of the way. But price was right and rooms were clean and comfortable. We would stay there again.

Well, at least it was cheap... - posted on 10/11/2005

I've stayed here twice, and this may be the last time. Room was dank and musty, and I killed a handful of roaches during my three day stay. Continental breakfast was good.

Good value - posted on 05/10/2007

Good cost value and a large room; would stay here again. Eggs/potato cakes included in free breakfast. Free shuttles to town and to airport. Little or no food/shops nearby, so good only for airport access. No elevators to 2nd floor, so ask for ground floor if that is an issue.

Where is the airport? - posted on 05/03/2007

That its name includes Airport is a misnomer. The entrance to the terminal is almost 5 miles away. This hotel was filthy; the beds squeaked. The freezer part of the fridge had this red crusty stuff in it! I don't even want to know!! Bathroom was tiny and very dirty. I wouldn't stay there again if you paid me.

Good Rest - posted on 04/15/2007

Our family (husband, wife, son & dog) stayed --it was very comfortable. We liked the microwave & frig in the room --very convenient. The staff even brought us a roll away bed at 11:30 at night when we decided we needed one. They were most helpful. It was not far at all from the interstate or Savannah.

Perfect for the price - posted on 03/29/2007

The only thing negative I can say is it is a far drive to Historic but not that far. The room was way nicer than I expected. A small bathroom compared to niced hotels but not that small. Had a wonderful spell (clean), comfy bed, desk area, Free wireless, NICE HOTEL!

Great experience - posted on 01/24/2007

Of ocurse it is not a luxury hotel at this price. Having said that, it is a nice place. Clean, comfortable room, standard equipment. Late night lounge/bar/bar food, good enough only can be smoky. OK breakfast. Transport to/from airport or other nearby locations. Very customer-friendly owner-operators. Definitely will stay again.

Time to Renovate - posted on 11/16/2006

Property looked worn. Was farther from the airport than told. Room had a musty odor to it. Fridge didn't keep things cold. Luckily, I was there for a few hours until my flight departure.
Needs Improvement: Furnishings, room odor

Our stay - posted on 11/01/2006

My husband and I stayed here on our Halloween trip to Savannah. We had a great trip and saved some time due to the fact that our room was ready at noon. We got to check in three hours early which was very nice. It saved us from having to drive the distance back to it. It was a good fifteen minutes from downtown Savannah. On Halloween weekend 15 minutes could turn into an hour easily in Savannah.

Having read several reviews prior to arriving, we brought an air purifier. The air was heavily perfumed. The bed was comfortable, and there was an accessible outlet for the air purifier, which is not always the case in hotel rooms. Next time I have an early/late flight I'll stay again. Directions - I-95, Exit 102 (Hwy 80 East) to Dean Forrest Road, turn left. Hotel is on right a few miles down.

Southern Hospitality - posted on 07/24/2006

The hotel was inexpensive and right by the airport, so I didn't know what to expect. I was greeted at the airport by the shuttle driver, Ray. He was so friendly and helpful as I was traveling with an infant. The hotel was clean and roomy, but the furnishings were older as was the hotel. The pool area was nice as was the lobby. The maids were very helpful and nice. The restaurant was small, but nice. They have a continental breakfast which wasn't noted on the information. It was expanded to eggs and hash browns. Very nice overall experience. I would stay there again.

THE ROOM - posted on 06/08/2006

The room had a bad odor in it and the doors were squeeky. The maid service over looked a stain that was on the comforter of our bed, it was replaced after we notified them.

great hotel! - posted on 05/05/2006

VERY prompt shuttle service, very friendly staff....clean room. The only complaint that I would have pertains to some paint chipping on the room walls. But really, it was only chipping in spots that see a lot of wear (i.e. light switches)....so I really didn't see it as even a problem. I would definitely stay here again.

Not very happy - posted on 05/02/2006

Was very upset with hotel. Firstly, we had a lot of heavy luggage and I had asked for a first floor room but did not receive one. Also, our keys did not work in door. Not only once did we have to take the key back but 4 times until we finally had to get the master key to open the door. There was no way to get heavy luggage to airport shuttle from the rooms. Was not a very good experience and will not be booking there again

Need Specific Directions - posted on 09/06/2005

Impossible to find from the Airport. Get specific directions, or you will drive for an hour looking for it, especially at night. The airport people thought they gave us correct directions, but they were not correct. There are no restaurants near by and the "free breakfast" left much to be desired. The room was o.k. for an overnight stay, but I would not want to stay there for a longer time.

Choice - posted on 04/20/2005

Stay was excellent with great room with all appliances you would expect in a suite. The staff provided a suite to accommodate our extended stay and we had plenty of room. We liked staying here away from heavy traffic of Savannah and was nice to come back to after trips into Savannah and Tybee Island.Cost was half the price of downtown and Tybee hotels this time of season. If you want a place to sleep and travel from to visit the area this will do you fine. If you want to be closer to attractions you will pay for it. It's always about choice. This was a good choice for us.

Never Again - posted on 10/21/2004

Welcome to a stay full of surprises. The complimentary downtown shuttle costs $7 per passenger-- one way! No maps of the surrounding area. Complimentary continental breakfast consists of a danish or toast with coffee or juice...that is one danish and the juice comes 4 oz elementary school juice containers. I intend to vote with my dollars...never again!

Not Bad; Not Noteworthy Either - posted on 10/05/2004

The Days Inn guide lists this as a 5 star; I hope that is not indicative of the quality they expect chain wide. Basically acceptable for an overnight stay if you know the back way to the airport but there are much better properties available on the main entrance from I-95. Needs to step up its maintenance and daily upkeep of the rooms to be able to compete.
