Savannah takes you away from the hustle and bustle of Atlanta and transports you to a time where history becomes the backdrop to an enchanting world.
Widely renowned for its historical features, you’re invited to explore Civil War history, enjoy fantastic cuisine, and even munch on the juicy Georgia peaches. Elegant, old mansions and centuries-old cemeteries add to Savannah's rich and colorful history.
You’re invited to experience true Southern hospitality while you choose the best way to enjoy your vacation. Whether you’ll play a round, or two, of golf, go shopping, explore the museums, experience fine dining or relax at the hotel, you won’t forget Savannah’s hospitality.

I have been to Savannah in 3 occasions. Each time became worse and worse. If you want information of any kind, do not bother to go to the Savannah Visitor Center. Here you will be met by very unfriendly and lazy women. Asking for plans is met by them shoving a plan with no explanation under your nose, queries about the best areas are met with impatience and you are made very unwelcome. The city itself (seen in may 07) is unfriendly, people are annoyed by tourists and visitors alike and information is very unforthcoming. It makes it a very strong contrast with Charleston that does live up to it's reputation in terms of kindness, smiles and helpers. Basically, Charleston welcomes you with a smile and Savannah with a scowl. Frankly, ignore Savannah and spend more time in Charleston.
