Weekend Getaway - posted on 08/24/2006

My husband and I wanted to get away for a quiet weekend. It was a last minute trip. We did not have reservations. The staff of the hotel was most helpful and very polite. Our weekend was very enjoyable, close to Savannah riverwalk, Cracker Barrel and the air force museum ( he loved that). We will be back for other quiet weekend.

Smoke in NS room - posted on 05/11/2007

Heavy smoke smell in our nonsmoking room. The cleaning staff did give me a bottle of something to spray that helped for the first night. The smell was back by the next day. Not sure if bathroom has ever had a really good cleaning. Location not great for sightseeing in Savannah- confusing getting to & from downtown. The breakfast was good and the people were friendly but we would not stay there again. We were disappointed in what we got for the price paid-will stay in downtown Savannah next time.

Friendly, spacious - posted on 09/05/2006

Helpful, friendly staff; comfortable rooms; good breakfast. Stayed 2 times. Room on 1st floor had musty smell. 2nd floor room was fine. Near hwy & restaurants. Took discount coupon and gave me same rate for busy weekend.

needs larger staff - posted on 08/11/2006

I live in Savannah and was selling my house and needed a place to stay for a few days. Closing was nearby. Everything started out nice, but when I called down to the front desk for smoke free blankets no one answered. I had to go downstairs myself and go to the front desk only to discover one person handling everything. She was checking in two families, and taking reservations, and ignoring everyone else. About two hours later after I requested I got my blanket. Oh and the front desk girl claimed she didn't smell the smoke in the blanket. I will never stay there again.

A great hotel if you are visiting The Mighty Eight Air Force Museum in Pooler, Georgia. Cracker Barrel Restaurant is next door to hotel.

Dirty Dogs - posted on 05/27/2006

Our dog got into something (while walking) that smelled really bad. The staff got a garden hose for us and turned on the outside water so we could wash the dog before putting her in the car. Clean, friendly, helpful.

Nice Rooms but Poor Housekeeping - posted on 12/13/2005

My family and I visted this hotel recently and was troubled by the lack of attention to cleanliness. The toilet was filthy and the shower walk and fixtures were dirty. We complained and housekeeping cleaned the toilet somewhat better on day 2, but not the shower. The rooms were nice and large and breakfast was nice, but housekeeping needs better supervision and higher standards.

Friendly & professional - posted on 12/01/2005

My family (including our little dog) spent Thanksgiving weekend in Savannah. The motel was clean and the staff, from the front desk to those who cleaned our rooms, were professional, friendly & very helpful in giving local information. Very pet friendly too. I would highly recommend this BW to anyone planning a trip to Savannah.

Museum - posted on 10/22/2005

I picked this hotel because it was next to the Air Force museum. The family enjoyed the museum. The room and breakfast were better than expected. Swimming pool was small. I'd stay here again.

A Pleasant Surprise - posted on 07/10/2005

Wonderful, CLEAN hotel with very friendly staff. Rooms are HUGE. Next door to WONDERFUL aviation museum (a MUST see). Great free buffet breakfast in the am. My kids enjoyed it more here than at Disney (seriously).

The Perfect Getaway - posted on 07/05/2005

This hotel was very nice. The room was beautiful and spacious. It was also clean. However, I could not get anything to work in the fitness center (which really was not a problem anyway because I preferred staying in the room).
