The 57-room Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott Columbus provides economically priced accommodation for both the business and leisure traveler. The three-story non-smoking hotel is two miles from Columbus Airport and close to the military installation of Fort Benning. Items included with the room rate are an expanded continental breakfast, with the Jimmy Dean Breakfast sandwich, high-speed Internet access, local telephone calls, parking and a morning newspaper. The property is within easy driving distance of tennis courts, a bowling alley and jogging trails. The area attractions include Callaway Gardens, the Columbus Museum, the Springer Opera House, Columbus State University and Troy University.

All the guestrooms, and 22 suites, have a well-lit work desk with high-speed Internet access, two telephones with voicemail and data ports, 25-inch television with cable movie channels, pullout sofa bed, alarm clock, tea and coffee making facilities, iron and ironing board, and a hairdryer.

The inn has an indoor swimming pool, children’s pool, whirlpool and an exercise room. The complimentary breakfast is the only meal served here but there are several restaurants close by including an Applebee’s, Logan Roadhouse and Mikata Japanese Steakhouse. The 24-hour front desk has safe deposit boxes and information on area events and attractions. There is a full-service business center, vending machines and a coin-operated laundry.
