The 372-room Marriott Augusta Hotel and Suites ideally is located in the center of Augustas downtown business district and provides quality accommodation for both leisure and business traveler. The pet-friendly, 11-story property is set on the banks of the Savannah River and is close to the Augusta National golf course. Items included with the room rate are high-speed Internet access, local telephone calls, a morning newspaper and self-parking. The hotel has 10 meeting rooms for business or social events. The largest, the Oglethorpe Ballroom can accommodate 1,200 guests. This full-service, non-smoking hotel is also close to three other golf courses. Area landmarks and attractions include the Morris Museum of Art, the Augusta Botanical Gardens, the boyhood home of Woodrow Wilson, Phinizy Swamp Nature Park and Lake Thurmond.

This is the best hotel in Augusta. That is the opinion of many guests who have stayed at this Marriott property. The rooms, service and facilities got favorable comments from previous clients. Many visitors enjoyed walking along the banks of the Savannah River. The on-site Italian restaurant got good reviews. Clients said they enjoyed great steaks and received true southern hospitality.
