The 220-room Doubletree Hotel Atlanta Airport is a moderately priced hotel equally suited to the business or leisure traveler. The property is close to Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport and minutes from the Georgia International Convention Center. The hotel operates a courtesy shuttle to the airport and MARTA – Atlanta’s rapid transit system – station. Other items included in the room rates are Internet access, parking and admission to the well equipped business center. The renovated hotel lobby features a fireplace and cascading water wall and the nearby lobby lounge has wide screen televisions for sporting events. The property has four meeting rooms for social and business functions that can handle up to 450 people.

Fluffy towels and lots of different toiletries to sample in the bathroom were just some of the extras that previous visitors enjoyed when they stayed at this Doubletree. The rates are competitive with surrounding hotels but many said they would prefer to stay here on a future visit. Minor gripe: If you like to go walking around in the evening there is not a lot of things to see – except perhaps the continual take offs and landings at the busy Hartsfield Airport. Doubletree Club Atlanta Airport Accommodations

Rooms come with a choice of one king size or two double beds and are decorated in a warm contemporary style. Each has an oversized work desk with complimentary high speed Internet and a Wolf Gang Puck coffee maker. Other amenities include two dual-line telephones with data port, speakerphone and voicemail, cable television with movie channels, on-demand movies and a hairdryer.

The hotel’s Seasons Bakery and Grille is open from 6am until 11pm daily with a full range of meals. There are also “grab and go” selections to take away. There is a fitness center, gift shop and newsstand. The hotel offers laundry and dry cleaning services and the 24-hour front desk can help with sightseeing tours and arrange for transportation to take you to the city. Room service is available during regular hours and there is an ATM machine in the lobby.

From the south: Take I-85 North to Exit 73B, Virginia Avenue. Proceed right off highway ramp. Make immediate right onto Norman Berry Drive near McDonalds. Hotel is 3/4 miles down on the right. From the north: Take I-85 South to Exit 73, Virginia Avenue. Take a left off highway ramp onto Virginia Avenue and a left at the McDonalds onto Norman Berry Drive. Hotel is 3/4 mile down on the right.
