Was on business travel with an associate and had requested two beds. I had to sleep on a very old and uncomfortable sofa bed fold-out. The sleeping situation was horrid leaving me with a backache through each day spent. Other than that, the hotel and staff was lovely, friendly and charming.

The staff was very polite, courteous, and very informative of the area. The king bed had a memory foam mattress and it slept great! The exercise room is the best I have ever been in and the roof top pool and sun bathing area was awesome!

This hotel was beautiful, the staff was great, great location!

There was nothing I didn't like about the hotel.

The 307-room Georgian Terrace Hotel has been an Atlanta landmark since it opened its doors in 1911 and has provided quality accommodation for the business and leisure traveler ever since. It has been the venue for many prominent events, including hosting the world premiere reception for Gone With the Wind in 1939. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the hotel boasts modern technology in its 16,000 square feet of function space designed for business or social events. The hotel is located across the street from the Fox Theater, where the GWTW movie was premiered, and has easy access to Atlantas expressway system making it an easy drive to all parts of the city, its suburbs and airport.

The elegantly appointed suites have antique-style furnishings, over-sized windows and a large bathroom with a hairdryer. Other amenities include cable television with movie channels, iron and ironing board, coffee maker, microwave oven, full-size refrigerator and an electric range. The more expensive suites have walk-in closets and balconies with sliding glass doors.

Visitors to Atlanta love staying at this historic hotel with its vaulted ceilings, marble floors and old world charm. There were some complaints about the high cost of parking and the fact that some of the rooms could do with refurbishing. Overall, there is something special about this hotel that is truly old world southern and has served this southern city for decades.
