great hotel - posted on 10/31/2006
First time in Atlanta went for a weekend. Hotel is fantastic the staff was friendly and curtious. Had great views from the middle floors overlooking cnn and centinial park. Very close to attractions took no more than 10minutes to get to most attractions. Beds were confortable. Only bad things were the $18 for parking and the area around it. lots of panhandlers especially in the park and the little plaza across the street from the hotel. The benches are pretty much beds to the homeless there all day long. Not so comfortable at all walking around at night.

I love the 'Marriott' and normally this is the only hotel that I really enjoy staying. I always book 'Marriott' in whatever city we are staying in - I love rhe convenience and the service. The Atlanta Downtown Marriott - (160 SW) the service was great -very close to the Georgia Dome. My daughter and I decided to catch the Marta and go shopping, our first experience, and the gentlemen, Michael, Kenya helped us a lot, getting a map and showing us where to go and how to return. Now that is service with a smile. THANKS, THE WILSON FAMILY (TSU,Nashville, alumni)

Nice lobby. Great beds. Carpet in the room was stained or dirty. Paying $18.00 for parking is ridiculous.
Good looking outside, bad inside - posted on 06/14/2006
$18 extreme expensive parking, and you need to ask service to dirve you car every time. unbelievable expensive $9.95 for internet acess (I can't believe that now a day hotel didn't provide internet service). Really old hotel (good thing are the sleeping bad is new). Provide soap and shampoo only for one day(didn't chage new for rest of day.) The only advantage is really near CNN, Aquarium etc.

For a business traveler this is a great hotel. The service was better then expected, took care of everything I needed.
Great Location for Mart - posted on 01/16/2006
You can't do better if you are visiting AmericasMart. It's right across the street but you will need to book about a year in advance. Friendly staff, great breakfast buffet $15. Internet access was $12 per day and parking $15.

One of the Best - posted on 06/16/2005
This was by far the greatest customer service experience i've ever had. From the door to the room itself we were treated like royalty. The rooms were well appointed and the bathtubs and floors clean enough to eat off of. I would highly recommend this hotel. The 3 star rating is an injustice. The only drawback would be that the rooms are on the small side.
The Noise! - posted on 11/01/2004
Noisiest hotel I've ever visited. Constant traffic - banging metal - meetings interrupted by vaccum cleaners, dishes, and conversations.
