The 312-room Atlanta Marriott Downtown caters to the executive traveler and vacationer prepared to pay a little more for top quality accommodation in Atlanta’s downtown area. The nine storey property is within walking distance of AmericasMart, the Centennial Olympic Park, Georgia World Congress Center and the new Georgia Aquarium. This is a totally non-smoking hotel. The property has two floors dedicated for business or social functions. There are a total of 16 rooms with over 14,000 square feet of space for small social gatherings or lavish corporate events. Other attractions close to the property are the Georgia Dome, Philips Arena and CNN Center.

This was the first major hotel in Atlanta back in the 1970s. It has been upgraded and grown since then but it has always managed to maintain very friendly personal service. All rooms, and the larger and more expensive 26 suites, have a large work desk with high speed Internet access and modern bathroom with hairdryer. Other amenities include two-line telephone, cable television with pay-per-view movies, coffee and tea making facilities and an iron and ironing board.
