Conveniently located in the heart of downtown Atlanta, you are only steps away from Centennial Park and the CNN building. The hotel staff is extremely friendly. The rooms were large and comfortable, with sumptious pillows and bedding. The concierge recommended the Dakota Grill next door and it was great! It is a restaurant that is owned by Ted Turner and he has a penthouse at the top. Overall, an excellent stay, though the hotel is showing some general wear and tear that should be addressed.

Super courteous hotel staff.

The bathroom ceiling was in desperate need of repair and repainting.

The hotal is very nice. The staff the same, only problem I had is the one way streets in downtown Atlanta, Ga.

The personal was great took care of my needs.

Never had the right amount of towels in bath room.

The 312-room Atlanta Marriott Downtown caters to the executive traveler and vacationer prepared to pay a little more for top quality accommodation in Atlantas downtown area. The nine storey property is within walking distance of AmericasMart, the Centennial Olympic Park, Georgia World Congress Center and the new Georgia Aquarium. This is a totally non-smoking hotel. The property has two floors dedicated for business or social functions. There are a total of 16 rooms with over 14,000 square feet of space for small social gatherings or lavish corporate events. Other attractions close to the property are the Georgia Dome, Philips Arena and CNN Center.

This was the first major hotel in Atlanta back in the 1970s. It has been upgraded and grown since then but it has always managed to maintain very friendly personal service. Many guests keep returning here for the Southern hospitality and excellent facilities. Vacationers will benefit from attractive weekend rates when business customers are not in town.
