This is an upmarket airport hotel at very affordable rates designed for the business traveler but well suited for the leisure traveler who demands a little luxury and wants to be away from the center of the city. The Crowne Plaza Atlanta Airport has 378 guest rooms and over 17,000 square feet of meeting space. Expect to see a lot of conventioneers and airline employees. All the rooms were renovated in 2006. The property is just minutes away from Atlanta’s Hartsfield Jackson International Airport and the hotel operates an around the clock free shuttle bus with departures from the hotel every 20 minutes.

The hotel lost some appeal through the renovation and refurbishing period. That is now past. Former guests noted that during that period the friendly staff continued to be helpful and efficient. The employees continue to win praise from recent hotel visitors. Internet access is free – something for which other top hotels make a charge. Crowne Plaza Atlanta Airport Accommodations

All the accommodation is nicely furnished and comes with satellite TV plus pay-per-view movies and video games. There is a mini-bar, work desk, tea and coffee making facilities and full bathroom with hairdryer. The more expensive rooms for the business traveler include a free buffet breakfast, free cocktails in the evening and a refrigerator. Everyone gets a morning newspaper.

Benton's Grill, the hotel’s restaurant has great buffets at breakfast and lunch and a varied menu for dinner. There are several restaurants close to the hotel. There are two bars in the hotel and room service is available from 6am until midnight. The hotel has rooms for private dining as well as numerous rooms for conventions and seminars. The 24-hour front desk can give advice on visiting area attractions which include Stone Mountain, Six Flags over Georgia, the new Georgia Aquarium, Phillips Arena, the Georgia Dome, CNN Center and upmarket shopping in Buckhead. The hotel is near the Georgia International Convention Center, and the world headquarters of Delta Airlines. Driving to downtown takes about 10 minutes depending on the traffic.
