An Excellent Hotel - posted on 05/24/2007
Stayed 3 nights. Room was very clean and well appointed. Room service was excellent and food was very good. A quiet luxury hotel. Lots of construction on buildings nearby this hotel but room was very quiet. All staff were helpful, polite, and friendly. . Hotel restaurant is good. Many fine restuarants and the Lenox Square Mall nearby. Self parking is in a separate building which is a negative if the weather is poor; but you can always use the valet for just a little more. Will definitely stay here again and highly recommend

While the hotel is very nice, I got the sense that we often weren't heard. They gave us a room that wasn't what I asked for (but fixed it), restaurant & bar service took too long, and when they directed us to the pool, they failed to mention it was outside and too cold to use. Also, our room didn't get cleaned for reasons we don't understand.

The valet staff were exceptionally helpful and responsive. Room service was prompt; however, food prepartion was below par. The rooms are spacious; however, the bathroom fixtures are dated and need upgrading. Robes and slippers were not provided in-room and the mini bar stocking was under par. Overall, the accommodations provided for a comfortable and relaxing experience.
Great hotel, awful parking. - posted on 12/13/2006
Grand Hyatt would be a 5* experience except that self parking is in another bulding. You have to walk outside to get there. Hotel is beautiful. Japanese gardens from old is a bummer.Nikko hotel days is still nicely kept. Bar overlooking waterfall is very nice. Beds Hyatt comfortable. Rooms large and clean. Parking on cold, windy nights is big deterrant.
Great Location - posted on 11/26/2006
The hotel was in a great location. Buckhead has so much to offer. Unfortunately the construction that was being done outside including Sundays was disturbing. I would stay there again but would wait until the early construction was complete.

The Grand Hyatt Atlanta, in the heart of Buckhead, is a plush, high class act. The service is fantastic. It's pricey but well worth it. It's a 5-star hotel that will change the way you choose hotels in the future.

I was pleasantly surprised at the Grand Hyatt. The decor was nice without being overbearing. The staff was extremely competent and helpful - the kind of service you would expect at a 4 Seasons or Ritz Carlton. The rooms were nicely appointed, larger than I expected. The workout facility was top notch (for a hotel) and the pool area was attractive. The bar area is large, has big screen TV's, but they are not annoying. The waterfall outside adds a nice, serene touch. The Buckhead location is very convenient. I would definitely stay here again.

We had a great time at the Grand Hyatt in Atlanta, Fabulous service from everyone, the rooms were lovely, the atrium with the waterfall, amazing. The location can't be beat.
Great Hotel, Bad location - posted on 08/13/2006
The hotel is a very nice place and it is in buckhead which is a plus but there is no MARTA station nearby on a hot day.
Disappointment - posted on 08/09/2006
The rooms and hallways smelled old and musty. Carpet dirty. Surprised, was expecting something fabulous for the price and rating. Definitely not a 4 star. Definitely should be 3 star.

Very relaxing visit. The people available to take us various places made our trip so much easier!
Nice hotel in Buckhead - posted on 10/26/2005
Good location in Buckhead. The construction is not that distracting, especially on the weekends. For a luxury hotel, there were many great features: beautifully appointed marble bathrooms, beautifully decorated room, and an elegant lobby lounge (Onyx) with a great musical duo, fireplace, appropriately placed TVs, overlooking the waterfalls outside. The pool was great w/free towels too. The Japanese garden is gorgeous, plan to spend some Zen time there. The gym was full of equipment. The bed was amazingly comfortable. There were Portico bath products that smelled and felt divine. However, the A/C could have worked better, the phones were not cordless, the towels were very crunchy (Motel 6 towels are softer), there was no CD player (probably because they want you to buy their pay music service), and the pay per view movies did not list any prices. There is a great makeup mirror attached to the bathroom wall, but it is only for those who are at least 5'10" tall, otherwise book a neck massage in the spa from the stain you will get. I checked in (alone) with 4 bags and the bell persons did not even attempt to assist me. Later, after my business meeting, I returned to the hotel with baskets, bags, books, etc. and still no bell help. One important warning: check your bill! I repeatedly had to request adjustments in parking fees and restaurant charges (not even mine!). Even when I checked out, the valet tried to make me pay for the parking that was ALREADY paid in my hotel bill. Overall, the hotel is beautiful, extremely clean, and elegant. If there were just few extras (service and amenities) then, this Hyatt could be launched into true 5-star status. I would stay here again.

Beautiful marble bath & guest room. Elegant lounge, great pool, gym, Japanese (Zen) garden, comfortable bed, luscious Portico amenities. Hard towels though. Alone w/lots of bags, the bell persons did not even attempt to assist me. Later, I returned with many bags, still no bell help. Perhaps they assume that women do not tip well, how dumb. Check your bill for duplicate and incorrect charges! Upon leaving, the valet requested fees for parking ALREADY paid in my bill. This hotel is beautiful, clean, elegant, 4-star, NOT 5

Staff and facilities were excellent. wonderful location in Buckhead. Overall, a great place to stay at a good price. Lone problem, however, getting the "food out of the kithcen". It was painfully slow for everyone in the restaurant on the one meal we ate there.

Best hotel in Buckhead for the money. Rooms are clean and luxurious. Spacious marble bathrooms. Good valet service.
