The all-suites Residence Inn by Marriott Atlanta Downtown is in a converted historic property with all the modern conveniences for the business or leisure traveler. This hotel, with 160 suites on 20 floors is close to many attractions and is across the street from a MARTA station putting all of the city, its airport, and suburbs within easy reach. The non-smoking hotel is close to many of the city’s famous restaurants including Pittypatt’s Porch, Mary Mac’s Tea Room and Ray’s in the City. Items included with the room rate are a hot breakfast buffet, local telephone calls and a manager’s reception on weekday evenings. The pet-friendly property has meeting rooms for social and business functions that can handle up to 100 guests.

The suites have separate living and sleeping areas and a fully equipped kitchen with refrigerator with icemaker, toaster, microwave oven, dishwasher and coffee maker. Other amenities include a work desk with high-speed Internet access, hairdryer, cable television with movie channels and pay-per-view movies and a two-line telephone with voicemail.

The hotel has an indoor fitness center and a full-service business center. There is a coin-operated laundry on site and the hotel also offers valet laundry and dry cleaning services. The 24-hour front desk has safe deposit boxes and a list of restaurants that will deliver to the hotel. There is always coffee available in the lobby where there is information on all the local attractions and events. The Georgia Aquarium and Centennial Olympic Park are within walking distance.

From Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport (ATL) 9 miles: Take I-85 N to Exit 248B (JW Dobbs Ave). Go to second light, turn left onto Auburn Ave. Turn into Luckie Street, and go one block. Turn right onto Forsyth Street. The hotel is one block down on the right.
