About the Hyatt Regency Atlanta

When this property first opened its doors 40 years ago it was the only luxury hotel in the city. Its vast open atrium lobby was revolutionary and launched both architect John Portman and Hyatt into the world spotlight. Today its has numerous competitors – many larger and grander – but the Hyatt Regency still remains a favorite with businessmen and leisure travelers who enjoy its prime location on Atlanta’s famed Peachtree Street. With the later addition of the tower the property now has 1,260 rooms and suites that have been updated to the twenty first century.

Without a doubt still one of the best places to stay in Atlanta. The reviewer stayed here at its opening and many times since and still enjoys the friendly southern hospitality, fine dining and great location. Hyatt Regency Atlanta Accommodations

All accommodation has a contemporary décor and you have a choice of one king, one queen or two double beds. Views are either of downtown or the swimming pool. Room features include wireless Internet access, oversized work desk, dual line phones, voicemail, satellite TV, hairdryer, in-room safe, iron and ironing board, videos on demand and a coffee maker.

Amenities offered

Dining choices include the Kafe Köbenhavn for appetizers, salads and, sandwiches. Avanzare is the upmarket restaurant for steaks, chops, seafood and lamb. The lobby has a 24-hour coffee shop. The hotel pool is open from 7am to 10pm during the warmer months. The property has a business and fitness center, both fully-equipped and the convention and trade show facilities include a ballroom and 52 meetings rooms.
