The Homewood Suites by Hilton Atlanta-Galleria/Cumberland hotel is in Northwest Atlanta in an upmarket neighborhood noted for fine shopping, numerous corporate offices and a full range of dining options. Items included with the room rate are high-speed Internet access, parking, a hot breakfast buffet and a manager’s reception party on Monday thru Thursday evenings. The hotel is well suited for the business traveler and ideal for families on vacation. The property is close to Atlanta’s expressway system making it an easy drive to many area attractions including the Coca Cola Museum, Grant Park Zoo, the Georgia Dome, home of the Atlanta Falcons, Turner Park, home of the Atlanta Braves, and Underground Atlanta with its myriad of bars, restaurants and shops.

Many former clients said they will return to this hotel on future visits to Atlanta but added they would like to see some improvements made. Many rooms are in need of some upgrading and the Internet access is very s l o w. There were no complaints about the great location and many members of the staff were complimented on doing a fine job. Sadly, some workers here need a little training and attitude adjusting. Each of the suites has a work desk with high-speed Internet access and a fully equipped kitchen with a full-size refrigerator, coffeemaker and microwave oven. Other amenities include cable TV with movie channels, hairdryer, two telephones with dataports, voicemail and an iron and ironing board. Some of the suites have fireplaces and there are also two-bedroom suites available.

The complimentary breakfast is the only meal served here but there are numerous restaurants nearby including Copelands, the Old Mill Steakhouse and Don Pablos. The hotel has an outdoor swimming pool, whirlpool, sports court, fitness room and a business center. Laundry and dry cleaning services are available and the 24-hour front desk has safe deposit boxes information on the area attractions.

From Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport (ATL) 23 miles: Take Camp Creek Parkway to I-285 North. Take the Cobb Pkwy-Hwy 41, Exit 19 and turn right. Continue through two lights and the hotel will be on your right next to the Cumberland Festival shopping center and across the street from Toys-R-Us.
