Enjoyed our stay. The beds were fantastic. When our remote control did not work, one of the staff brought another one to our room within minutes of our notification of this. It was a comfortable stay.

The beds were very comfortable.

There was no complimentary breakfast.

The 104-room Courtyard by Marriott Athens has a southern rocking chair verandah and provides quality accommodation for both the business and leisure traveler. The three-story, non-smoking hotel is close to the University of Georgia, Georgia Museum of Art, State Botanical Gardens and the UGA Performing Arts Center. The UGA golf course is two miles from the hotel. Items included with the room rate are high-speed Internet access, a morning newspaper, parking, local telephone calls and coffee available in the lobby 24/7. The hotel is 75 miles from Atlanta and area attractions and landmarks include the US Navy Supply Corps School, Butts-Mehre Sports Museum and the Sandy Creek Nature Center.

Athens is a university town and everything here revolves around the University of Georgia and the Georgia Bulldogs football team. As a result, this Courtyard can get noisy with students and alumni especially if the Bulldogs are playing at home. The hotel gets great reviews from the Bulldog fans. The prices are reasonable, the employees helpful and attentive and the location superb, within walking distance of the university. Those seeking a country getaway in Central Georgia were not so enthusiastic. They found the partying and noise too much. For a quiet time here wait until school is out or seek space in other parts of Georgia.
