Overall good. The lack of staffing at the front desk was irritating. Took a long time to check in. Once the room keys didn't work, I had sleeping toddlers and took a long time to get new keys because I couldn't find someone at the front desk.

The Residence Inn by Marriott Alpharetta North Point is located in one of Atlanta's most prestigious communities and has three different types of accommodation - studios, and one and two-bedroom suites. The pet-friendly 123-suites property is designed for the long stay leisure or business traveler. Items included with the room rate are an extensive breakfast buffet, an evening social hour, weekly barbecue, high-speed Internet access, local telephone calls, parking, a morning newspaper and coffee available in the lobby 24/7. The three-story non-smoking property is across the street from the North Point Mall. There are five golf courses nearby and it is 30-minute drive to downtown Atlanta with its numerous attractions including the Georgia Dome, home of the Atlanta Falcons and Turner Field, home of the Atlanta Braves.

All the suites have a fully equipped kitchen with microwave and conventional oven, full-size refrigerator with icemaker, toaster, dishwasher, coffeemaker and a full set of cutlery and crockery. There is a work desk with ergonomic chair and high-speed Internet access, two-line telephone with voicemail, pullout sofa bed, cable television with movie channels, pay-per-view movies, hairdryer and iron and ironing board. Some of the suites have a fireplace.

Being within walking distance of great shopping and a full range of restaurants and cuisines - Thai, Cajun, Chinese, Caribbean and American all added to the pleasure of a long stay here.
