What an experience! - posted on 06/01/2007
I wanted to get away for the weekend to relax not to worry about if I was going to be shot at. The smell of weeds were everywhere near our room. We didnt spend much time in our rooms because of it. Will not come back to that hotel.
Not My Best Trip! - posted on 05/11/2007
The hotel had a plumbing leak, hallway carpet soaking wet, smell of mildew. No towels clean when asked. Jacuzzi's broken. Pool heater broken. Understaffed in restaurant. TV fuzzy. Toilet paper holder broken. People as nice as could be given the circumstances. Improvements underway. Constructiion in restaurant during breakfast. Just not my best trip!
Bugs in Bed - posted on 04/26/2007
I went to this hotel for a conference. The hotel is going under a renovation and it needs it. In the first room the tv didn't work. Then the second room we woke up to a cockroach in the bed.

The were doing renovations and so I did not get an accurate feel for the hotel. But the service was friendly and the rooms were clean. They had closed the outdoor pool while I was there and the indoor was a big hit with kids.
convenience - posted on 03/21/2007
I like this hotel because of the convenience of location and the opportunity upgrade the free continental breakfast with a hot bar for a small fee. My son likes the indoor pool and the lobby decor.
This place is a dump! - posted on 12/05/2006
This place is a dump. It is in a bad neighborhood and needs security patrols and cameras. Carpet is dirty/nasty. They thought that putting new comforters and paint is refurbishing. The bath tubs are old and disgusting. DO NOT STAY ON BUSCH AVE.

I think it is over price for the condition and service. Never have enough towels. We was left at Busch Gardens, had to catch a cab back to room. Location is good for Busch Gardens.

Filthy rooms, thunderous herds of kids, scary neighborhood, no food and/or no plates for breakfast, charged us for things we didn't order, no customer service. Never again!

Definitily Bad - posted on 05/10/2006
The carpet room was really dirty and smell bad, the free breakfast is poor nothing to eat, if you wanna it you hate to pay, I prefer eat in Mc Donald. the pool area is really bad, because is inside and the floor is always wet and the children run over all hotel. I feel bad because the rate is expensive and if I pay $10 more in other hotel maybe should be better

scary neighborhood, frequent sirens and trains, paper walls in old section. Lousy breakfast(free or otherwise), filthy bathroom floors
A terrible place to stay. - posted on 04/09/2006
This is one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed. The service was very poor. Everything was broken. The room was filthy. Simply a terrible place to stay. On top of all these, the price was unreasonably high for its worth.
do not stay here - posted on 03/09/2006
Very old. Terrible neighborhood. First room smelled. Never again.

I have to say I booked this hotel for a three day get away for my husband and myself. The first few hours were spent RUNNING from the roaches!! Needless to say we DID NOT stay the three days as planned. Did I mention the the linens were stained? I do not even care about losing my money for the three days! I could not stay there another minute!!

our room was very nasty from the carpet to the tough beds. i was scared totake off my shoes thats how bad the carpet was. i guess it was ok for the money but i would never reccomend the hotel to anyone. service was horrible. the pools and hot tubs i did enjoy , they were actually clean.
Great - posted on 08/12/2005
Rooms (based on the one we were in) need a little help; especially the bathrooms. Other than that, the amenities (Pool, Sports Bar, Complimentary Breakfast, etc) were OUTSTANDING. Considering what we paid per night, this was a GREAT (and surprising) bargain.
Rooms should be 2 stars - posted on 04/12/2005
The pool/lobby area is nice looking. Indoor pool is great. Staff was friendly. Room wasn't so great. Beds were very uncomfortable...expecially the roll-away bed. Bathroom looked like it wasn't cleaned in weeks. Carpet was dirty too. Shower pressure was awesome though!
Fabulous amenities - posted on 03/27/2005
Indoor heated pool & spas were awesome, rooms are spacious & well kept.Housekeeping service slow although thorough.Front desk service needs much improvement, they don't answer phone inquiries well after 9pm.Nice sports lounge, so-so complimentary breakfast.
Good, cheap option - posted on 03/23/2005
I was unsure about this hotel, but I have stayed in a lot worse :-) and I am glad we stayed here. For a budget hotel, this is great for kids and is near Busch Gardens. It has indoor and outdoor pools, hot tubs, tennis courts, and very small fitness room. It obviously has been remodelled recently, so it is nice, but not spectacular. There is a free breakfast that is a bit overcrowded. It was booked when we arrived, so definitely make a reservation.
Great Value - posted on 02/18/2005
Nicest Comfort Inn I have stayed at. Heated indoor & outdoor pool - no one else around Busch Gardens offered that. Rooms have new granite bathroom vanities Service was extremely friendly, and wireless internet worked great in atrium. They were just finishing renovation. Worth every penny plus more.
Service - posted on 11/05/2004
fifty fifty chance of good service. One man felt the need to tell more then one guest "how he felt" about the hollidays events. I don't care if he likes it or not, but information would have been nice. He IS working in a hotel. Co-worker, I belive she may have been a manager, very nice, lots of information, cared about our needs and wants. Everything I would expect, and more. Would come back knowing she's there. Over all....it was ok. Just wish Mr. Bad-additude wasn't there.
