Customer Reviews for Best Western Suites

We'll Be Back! - posted on 11/03/2006

Room and facilities were clean and spacious. The only problem encountered was at check out. It was a Sunday, close to check out time, and both of the two people on duty were involved in problems with customers so the wait was long. After 20 minutes with no movement of the line, I finally handed my key to one of the employees and left without a receipt. Otherwise, I would recommend this hotel and I will definitely return, as it is a perfect location for attractions and I would like to have some time to actually enjoy the beautiful pool area! P.S. Smoking rooms should have ashtrays in them at check in!

Great hotel with a good atmosphere. Mexican restaurant by the pool serves great food. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful.

Would Stay Again - posted on 04/10/2007

Granted I've stayed in more swank hotels, but for the money, this hotel is by far worthy of a five star rating. Great pool/deck area, loved the two room suite. And free breakfast to boot!!

An OK Hotel for the Money - posted on 02/07/2007

We stayed here for my birthday and has a so-so experience. The game (near pool) were completely rundown and disgusting - how hard can it be to replace pingpong paddles? The size of our room was nice, but is smelled HORRIBLE and we had to air out the room right away. It smelled like smoke, even though it was supposed to be non-smoking. Frontdesk person on 1st day was not friendly at all, although the man the next day was very nice. This hotel is a very good location and is close to Busch Gardens.

This hotel was musty, TV was broken, toilet clogged, and overall was pretty dirty. We only stayed one night. Would not recommend this if you want to spend any time there at all.

Mold/Mildew Smell Overwhelming - posted on 12/06/2006

Business trip - this hotel is great from the outside, but the room we stayed in & the room a business accociate stayed in smelled so strong of meldew it almost knocked you over when you walked in the door. Our business assoc. had a horrific headache from it and woke at 4 AM because of it. The breakfast food was barely palitable. Would NOT stay there again - too high priced for mold & mildew smelling rooms. The pool was very nice. Staff was also very nice.

Dated Facility Needs remodeled - posted on 11/29/2006

NiceGarden atmosphere.Kids enjoyed the hot tub. Free breakfast not worth it. How to mess up pancakes and eggs? No quality ingredients+No pastries, fruit, yogurt, muffins, BADcoffee. Dang'd good fruit loops.Go out for breakfast. Bathroom too small. Rooms cramped. Sofa bed predictably bad. Typical odors for dated hotel. Mildew / stale hot tub chemicals...Saw no bugs We've definitely suffered through worse. Hot and cold water work well unpredictably. Get it right then wait for the surprises.Turns into great sport after awhile. Not a game for small children. You could do worse. Staff is great.

Close To What We Wanted - posted on 09/25/2006

On a short weekend trip to Busch Gardens and Adventure Island the hotel was perfect. Having the suite set-up made it that much nicer - not just your typical hotel room. The staff was very friendly and helpful even with out late check in. The morning breakfasts were good but get their early if you want the full choices. The later you go the more chance you have not to have all the selections. I would stay there again and recommend it to others.

Nice Hotel - posted on 08/11/2006

The room we were in was very spacious and clean. It had 2 TVs! And even though we were right next to the pool it was not noisy. The restaurant on site was well priced and the food was good, as were the free breakfasts.

Great Value - posted on 07/07/2006

We arrived early and were told so, however; she found us a room anyway. The room was not cleaned very well prior to our check in, but looked better the next day. The pool was lovely and the kids had a great time in it. My oldest liked the free pool table. The room size was nice but the bathroom was small and could use some Tilex. We were very pleased with the breakfast and our youngest made friends with one of the attendants. (he speaks no Spanish and she speaks little English!) We would absolutely come back to this hotel.

Plumbing Issues - posted on 05/31/2006

The hotel was ok. The rooms were comfortable, but the plumbing was horrible. Our toilet wouldn't flush, so we had to go use someone else's and that was an inconvenience to us. The pool was fine and so was the breakfast. If the plumbing wasn't an issue, I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. But it was a good place to stay especially since it was 5 minutes from Busch Gardens.

great family hotel - posted on 05/27/2006

Great place for families, especially with pets. Great pool and jacuzzi area, also a recreational area with ping pong and pool. Large dog walking area adjacent to parking lot. Good breakfast. Excellent service all around. Drawbacks: sofabed was a joke, sank in the middle. Took the mattress out, and the kids slept on mattress on the floor. Not a great place to stay if you're looking for quiet, activity is all around until late at night. Close to Busch Gardens, unbelievable ticket deals if you buy tickets at the hotel. We are picky travelers, and we would stay here again.

Not my favorite place to stay - posted on 05/16/2006

Checkin was slow at 8pm Friday night - only one person at the desk. Service was VERY slow down at the bar, my burger was broken in half, and completely charred on one side. Neighbors had karaoke in their room, so I finally called the front desk at midnight, and they said they'd send security. The singing and yelling continued until after 2AM. The "new mattress" in the sleeper sofa was about 2 inches thick. Warm breakfast was nice, employees serving were not. One mile to Busch Gardens if you are a bird- don?t try to walk there.

Great location - posted on 03/26/2006

Easy to get to and from Busch Gardens and Andventure Island. However, after arriving back to the hotel after a full day, the food available from the grill took a long time, out of many menu choices and even my kids would not eat it. You have to order from the bar, who seem to be understaffed. The hotel staff were great, we even had one employee shuttle us to the park long after the shuttle schedule was done doing drop offs! The TV was not working, rooms could use some improvements. Pillows were wonderful. Very comfortable.

Will go back - posted on 03/20/2006

This is the best hotel that we have stayed in. We were there while sgringbreak was happening and we had no problems. The breakfast was wonderful and we eat at the grill and the service was great along with the food. The rooms were clean and the staff was wonderful. My husband and I are planning on going back for our anniversary.

Pleasantly Surprised - posted on 01/07/2006

Sharing this room with my elderly parents, I was pleasantly surprised to find the 2-bed room was actually a suite! The only down side of our visit was the waitress at the outdoor restaurant/bar. She was far more interested in getting ready to end her shift than waiting on us. There were only 4 tables seated and we waited an hour for our sandwiches. Kitchen was slow as well. Front desk staff were most helpful. Good choice when visiting Busch Gardens.

good value - posted on 01/01/2006

Good value. One ruites easily accomodates family of 4. The extra room (suite) is large enough to allow quiet/privacy for those sleeping. Plenty of room. Clean and modern enough. Good pool & hot tub. I used the shuttle to Busch Gardens. It was prompt and fit my family's needs perfectly. I would definitely stay here again.

Not a 3 star hotel - posted on 12/20/2005

Room size was great but... 1. Prior occupant trash was left in room. 2. Carpet filthy. 3. Left at Theme Park (cold & wet) and had to call them for the "scheduled" pickup. 4. Service was all "lip service". They did not follow thru with requests they offered to fill. 5. Hot breakfast was mediocre. Better to buy breakfast separate. Stick with a cheeper "no Frills" hotel. Will definitely not go back. There are plenty of other close hotels to try. I had originally picked this one based on customer reviews.

overall was enjoyable - posted on 10/17/2005

I was overall pleased with my stay but did think a better attempt could be made to improve landscaping and pool condition. rooms were clean and was pleased with the pool side bar and the selection of activities( billiards,ping-pong) on the deck.

Not a clean hotel - posted on 09/30/2005

We liked the real suite instead of a flimsy divider, but the first room we were booked into smelled HORRIBLE. Found a dead cockroach in our 2nd room. Breakfast adequate, if not healthy

will come back - posted on 09/21/2005

this was our 2nd stay in this hotel. I love the fact that there is plenty of room (up to 3 beds counting fold out couch), and the refrigerator is nice to have. The breakfast in the morning is delicious. Nice way to start the day. The only thing I didn't like was the fact that due to high gas prices, they will only run the bus once in the morning to Busch Gardens, then only once back to the hotel in the evening. I'm sure you could come up with a better solution to that problem without inconviencing the guests.

absolutely a great place to stay - posted on 09/01/2005

As with most things, if you picked this hotel apart, you would find minor flaws. But boy were those flaws worth all the ammenities, the ambience, and best of all, the money we didn't spend on something more pricey. We will return again and again.

OK for the money - posted on 08/22/2005

The rooms were large and comfortable. However, our room had many ants, especially near the bathroom. I did inform the front desk clerk and the room was supposedly sprayed, but the ants came back the next morning. There was hot water for the shower, but not the sink. The hotel provided a free breakfast, which was actually a little better than expected. Selections included eggs, sausage, bacon, hash browns, cereals, etc.

Satisfying Stay - posted on 08/19/2005

I recommend it to families going to Busch Gardens. Very close. The pool was available from @9 am to 11pm and was thoroughly enjoyed by all. Also a pool table. There were two fairly large rooms with 2 TVs. Not luxurious, but satisfying for guests with kids.

Roomy - posted on 07/26/2005

The rooms were a good size. We did stay during a high school basketball tournament and the girls were quite loud at nite. No one had any control over them. We did not have hot water, shower pressure was low, bugs in the room and the sliding door would not close properly.
