Staff was the best I have had in awhile - posted on 01/21/2007
Upon arriving to the hotel I recieved a very warm welcome. Staff was very nice and accomadations were up to par. Even the smallest complaint was meant in a timely manner. Definitely recommend this hotel

THE STAFF WAS VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL AND SERVICE WAS GREAT, THE POOL WAS NICE AND THE LOBBY, THE ROOMS WERE OLD, CARPET DIRTY AND FIXTURES OF BATH COULD BE UPDATED. THE LOCATION WAS CONVENIENT AND WE ENJOYED OUR STAY. THE SMALL KITCHEN WAS APPRECIATED. THE AC WAS LOUD, BUT WORKED WELL.

We chose this hotel due to it location near the airport and its shuttle service. However, they need to improve their insulation between the rooms. Everytime someone used the bathroom you could hear the plumming. This made for a long night. One good thing was that the place was clean.
will return/pet friendly too - posted on 05/29/2006
we stayed here for a convention at the Wyndham... the room was nice and clean, the bed was extremely hard- but I guess it is better than too soft. The a/c was the only bad thing about the room, it was noisy and difficult to control. It was nice to have a refrig/microwave/sink in room. A group of softball teams (youth) were staying and they were very well behaved and staff was very accommodating.
Great nights sleep - posted on 03/26/2006
The kids loved the two tvs in the room. My son could play video games while the rest of us watched tv. The hotel is very clean and comfortable. We did not hear any planes even though we were just a mile from the airport. Employees were very friendly.

"Non-Smoking" room smelled worse than many smoking rooms. Sink and shower did not turn off. Room had no hot water, a filthy carpet and no tv remote. Staff did not offer an apology when made aware of the situation.
Great Staff, breakfast & 24 hour gym - posted on 02/16/2006
Hotel nice & clean, however, the sofabed *lol* is actually a chair and the linens for it were missing from the closet. AC is loud, but I liked the hum of it putting me to sleep at night. LOVED the 24 hour (1 treadmill) fitness rm. As long as I could go down at 2am and get my workout on, I was cool. In spite of the limited equipment, you'll be glad that you have gym to use. Staff very nice at this hotel.
Enjoyed my stay - posted on 02/09/2006
Nice staff, very attentive, even blew out a fuse in the room and maintenance had it back on in minutes
Not a 5 star, but I really liked this hotel - posted on 02/04/2006
Last minute decision to stay here at a $55 rate. Room size fine.Sleeper sofa,ha,a chair & no linens in closet as stated. Loved 24hr (1 treadmill) fitness room. Rec'd funky smoking rm, only ones available at 1:30am arrival. Disinfected stray&air freshener saved me, for going postal.Overall, enjoyed my stay here.

The suite was large but no separation between living room and sleeping room and positioning the TV between the 2 meant that noone could sleep while others were watching TV. Breakfast bar was great. The hotel is close to the airport but did not have airport noise which was great and had plenty of parking.
Would Stay Somewhere Else - posted on 11/04/2005
Staff was nice, breakfast was good. Rooms need work, A/C was loud. Took 10 minutes for the shower to get warm, never got hot. I thought the room size was small for a suite.
Not a 3star by any chance - posted on 07/27/2005
Room was dirty, small. wall paper peelling in Bathroom, oil film on tables, TV. Would not stay here again!!!!!!!!!!!
Replace the shower/bath/sink pls! - posted on 07/17/2005
Bathroom and sink area needs updating. Two steps away from mildew taking over, if you can overlook the chips in the tub, rust and leftover soap residue. No business center, if you don't have your laptop with you, you won't be checking your email. Convenient location, pleasant front desk personnel.
There are better choices - posted on 06/16/2005
This is the second time I've stayed at AmeriSuites and most likely the last. The rooms are very basic. We'd asked for a king bed and a sofa-sleeper, but if you need a sofa-sleeper, you can only get a full-size bed. Fortunately, it was only a one night stay. My 20 year-old son did like the weight room. The cable-TV was limited to about 15 stations, the lights over the bathroom sink were so hot that I had to shave in the dark to keep from roasting, the in-room coffee pot kept tripping the circuit breaker and there was so much static on the phone line that it was impossible to carry on a conversation. I asked to have the phone and coffee pot fixed and they immediately sent someone up who swapped out the phone, but said there wasn't anything he could do about the wiring. A different phone didn't help and the coffee pot never did work. I will say that the breakfast is better than most places I've stayed.

Our visit to Tampa was wonderful. The hotel personnel were friendly and professional and very accomodating. I will recommend Amerisuites Tampa to my friends and family.
Two star at 3 star price - posted on 04/05/2005
'Suite' was pretty small. Bathtub would not shut off & TV would not stay on. Front desk said they'd get someone on it (but it didn't happen while we were there). Toilet had a big piece missing and AC was quite noisy. The place is comparable to those costing half the price. Breakfast was excellent. But unfortunately too late (7:30am) for a 9am flight.
Comfortable and clean - posted on 02/13/2005
We had to wait for almost 2 hours after check in time for our room to be ready and we weren't notified when it was ready. Room was clean and comfortable, despite the a/c leaving a puddle on the floor. Only ate continental breakfast once, a lot of variety. Would stay here again.
