A hotel you don't want to stay for one more second - posted on 05/04/2007
We were lost and drove around in the neighborhood for 30 mins, and discovered it is really a run down area. When we stepped into the lobby, certainly there was no warm welcome and there is an early check-in charge for $5/hr. Ok, then we left the hotel. We were petrified by the hotel environment.
Disgusting!!! - posted on 11/13/2006
I have never experienced anything so awful....There were actually bugs running the walls and in the sheets that had not been changed..... Air conditioning didn't work. Toilets had not been cleaned. The whole room smelled. We flew in to Tampa in the middle of the night, otherwise we would have fled. We laid on top of the beds in our clothes.....waiting for daylight.Terrrible neighborhood. Even the Taxi driver questioned our choice....

I was shocked to discover how bad of an area this hotel was in. There were police officers around the hotel at all times. We didn't stay for safety reasons. This hotel is an a very bad area.

The Days Inn in Tampa is a nice place. It is in an out of the way location, but close enough to downtown to take a short drive or a short bus/cab ride in. The rooms are nice, but the outside of the building does look a little icky. Like it needs to be refurbished.

Truth in advertising does not apply with this hotel. This is a hotel "under contract with Days Inn..." which means that it is a run-down hotel that has changed ownership several times with minimal improvements. Stained, dirty carpet in the rooms, old bathroom fixtures. The "smoke-free" rooms were full of smoke at one time. Located in a very run down part of Tampa. I had better accomodations staying in a 2 dollar-a-day hostel in Thailand! If I were a Days Inn executive, I would be ashamed to have my company's name associated with this hotel!

Everything was filthy, location was scarey, meals were awful, service was non-exist, staff was incompetent, should be closed.
Dirty! - posted on 04/29/2004
Extremely dirty.....I actually saw a roach in there. Bathroom was disgusting. The neighborhood was in the ghetto. There weren't any real restaurants around either. Has really discouraged me from using any type of online service again.
