walk to Bucs game - posted on 03/23/2007

Hotel is close to Raymond James Stadium. The hotel is old and run down. It appears the staff also lives in the hotel. Employees at the pool drinking and cursing(in spanish). Not good for families or people with class. Bennigans restuarant almost hooked to hotel. Cheap hotel rooms equal bad guest and bad hotel!!

Lamp had exposed wires when you reach under shade to turn switch. Thick mold on doors. Iron marks melted into carpet. Only one towel and cloth. Towel had yellow liquid dried on underside. Bath and carpet very grungy. Lock on door completely broken.

wont stay there again - posted on 03/05/2007

Our room was halfway clean, but very rundown. Others in party had dirty showers, bathroom floors dirty, one whole room door kicked in handle knocked off, stuffed with broken items. Scary place to stay.

Horrible - posted on 02/20/2007

This hotel shouldn't be on your list. It was dirty from the minute we walked in and we couldn't stand the smell in the room. We ended up walking with our luggage down the street to another nearby motel.

Not worth the savings - posted on 02/07/2007

This Day Inn is in a good location but it run down, not that clean and extremely noisy. There were two outdoor parties that were allowed to continue to 3 am and at 6 am 4 - 5 sime trucks left the paerking lot, with at least one blowing its horn. The clientelle makes this motel not worth the savings.

Terrible - posted on 02/07/2007

Avoid this place. Room dirty and in disrepair. Found condom wrapper on floor near bed when we checked in. Other guests very shady. I thought a Days Inn would be a cheap but clean place to stay for the night. I wish I would have read the other reviews before I booked it.

Good if you want to walk to the Stadium - posted on 07/05/2006

This hotel needs alot of work and the rooms need to be total remodeled. The bathroom was falling apart and the carpet was a mess and the door was very hard to shut.

Convenient - posted on 03/28/2006

Rm was convenient for needing a place to stay with a late flight into Tampa- about 5 mins from airport and rooms have small fridge and microwave. Rms were clean enough, but there were some obvious dark stains on the chairs. Staff was friendly.

You get what you pay for.. - posted on 03/16/2006

BAD: The room was really worn down and dirty. Free internet didn't work. TV remote was for a different brand. It was pretty noisy as the walls were very thin (I was there during spring break so that's not surprising). There was actually a police helicopter circling the hotel at 1am. GOOD: Price was good. Bennigans right next door.

Good price - posted on 02/04/2006

There was a smell of mold in the room. The source was a constant dripping of water from the drain pipe under the sink in the room, onto the carpeting. This took place as soon I turned the water on.There was black mold that adhered to my shoes, and left black marks on the bath-room tiled floor. I could hear the water dripping. There was a greenish mold growing in the wall above my bed. Mixed with the smell of mold was a chemical smell of unknown origin. ( Attempt to cover up the mold odor?) The price was right for a senior citizen. Another positive feature was a very prompt shuttle service to the airport early next morning. The driver was helpful and courteous and on time. I would hesitate to stay in one of your motels again, based on the condition in this motel.

Dirty room! - posted on 01/21/2006

During our stay at your hotel,we could not turn on the water faucet in the tub! I called the front desk to report it, and was told someone would be down when they were available! My husband went into the bathroom and worked on the faucet himself! I had to ask him to turn the water on each time one of us took a shower! There was something dark red dried on the bedspreads and also on the curtain in our room. There was mold growing on the ceiling in the bathroom! I also noticed my socks were BLACK on the bottom! I kneeled down to sort through our luggage and noticed the knees of my jeans had black marks! I took the bedspreads and towels and layed them on the floor to make a path to the bathroom! How gross!!!!I will never stay at a Days Inn again!I Will also never recommend it to anyone! I am throughly dissappointed!!

Met our needs - posted on 10/13/2005

We stayed there night before our cruise. Everything was clean. We had plenty of towels and the staff was very helpful and polite. Continental breakfast met our needs also. We were able to leave our car while on the cruise at no extra charge and was shuttled to and from the port. Saved us money. We paid $ for the night for 4 people. Paid $10 for shuttle. Port parking alone would have cost $70 not to mention breakfast. We'd stay there again. The shuttle driver needs to learn to pay better attention to his driving and less to the radio and cell phone.

Hey, if you want high class, go pay $200/nite. The sheets were clean, the water was hot, the room had good a/c, pool was OK. The front desk people were polite. My convention was at the Tampa Center and I saved a pile by staying here for the week. I will definately stay here again. Bennigans restaurant has a GREAT reuben sandwich!! I just needed a place to crash and this fit the bill for me !!!
