The 155-room Holiday Inn Sunspree Marina is located directly on Tampa Bay at the southern tip of Saint Petersburg and provides quality accommodation for families on vacation and the business traveler. Items included with the room rate at this two-story resort are high-speed Internet access, local telephone calls, a morning newspaper and parking. Area landmarks and attractions include Fort Desoto Beach, downtown Saint Petersburg, Tropicana Field home of the Tampa Bay Rays, The Pier and the Pier Aquarium, the Salvador Dali Museum, Mahaffey Theater, Jannus Landing, Busch Gardens, Fort Desoto State Park and shopping at Bay Walk Mall.

Visitors to Saint Petersburg who stayed at this Holiday Inn said they had a great time. The property is older but well maintained and the views over Tampa Bay and the tropical gardens around the hotel were a delight. All the guestrooms and nine suites have a work desk with high-speed Internet access, two dual-line telephones with voicemail and speakerphone, refrigerator, in-room safe, television with cable news and movie channels, iron and ironing board, coffee and tea making facilities and a hairdryer. Connecting rooms are available. The suites have the added benefit of a separate sitting room, sofa bed and microwave oven.

This hotel’s Periscopes Waterfront Restaurant is open for breakfast and dinner and the poolside Banyan Tree Deli open for lunch. Room service is available from 7am until 11pm and there are two cocktail lounges. Other amenities include two outdoor swimming pools, a hot tub, volleyball court, bicycle rentals, tennis courts, shuffleboard courts, a fitness center, a marina and a private beach. The 24-hour front desk has safe deposit boxes and information on the area events and attractions.
