The restaurant left something to be desired, but it was nice that it was available if we didn't feel like driving somewhere to dine. The hotel's location isn't in a very pedestrian-friendly area; except for the nearby Maximo Park the area's attractions must be reached by car. The large pool wasn't heated so it was too cold in early March; the smaller pool was heated but it seemed somewhat dirty, perhaps from overuse & not enough cleaning. We did enjoy our stay, overall, though. My 5-year-old daughter liked the playground, pool & hot tub & the fact that the hotel had a view of the bay.

Located near city park & state park; relatively inexpensive.

Located too close to interstate; not in walking distance of much.

This hotel is about 5 minutes from the beach, but not on it, although it appears to be from the map. However, we loved the activities at this hotel for the children. The pools, hot tub, and play area was great. The snack bar was nice too, but stay away from the restaurant, it was expensive and not very good food for the price! The rooms were nothing fancy, but were clean and adequate. The hotel staff was very friendly. We would most likely stay here again.

This hotel was very family orientated. The staff was very friendly and the outdoor facilities (pool) etc. was just what you would expect in florida!

The restaurant located at the hotel was somewhat expensive, and the food quality was poor.

It was a good place to stay if you need access to St Pete beach without paying the high prices on the beach.

Very friendly bar/restaurant staff.

The 155-room Holiday Inn Sunspree Marina is located directly on Tampa Bay at the southern tip of Saint Petersburg and provides quality accommodation for families on vacation and the business traveler. Visitors to Saint Petersburg who stayed at this Holiday Inn said they had a great time. The property is older but well maintained and the views over Tampa Bay and the tropical gardens around the hotel were a delight. Many clients were happy with the efficient service and clean and comfortable rooms. Tip from those who have stayed here: There are two swimming pools. The larger one is not heated but the smaller one is.
