When we check in, we were VERY disappointed with the room. After one night we complained about the beds and features. They moved us to the new wing, which was awesome. So, if you stay, only stay in the new wing. The free passes to the YMCA next door were really nice!

You're always leary about getting a hotel that isn't priced outragious, but I can't praise this hotel enough. It was beautiful, extremely clean, wonderful soft plush beds, beautiful heated outdoor pool, service was fantastic. It was wonderful and I'd highly recommend it!

Our room had moldy curtains, the toilet didn't flush very well at all, had to play with the handle. When I asked the woman at the desk about the shuttle, she sent us to the wrong place and we missed the first shuttle, and almost the second. The bartender had no idea how to make the drinks that were advertised on the menus. The tv was so small you could not watch tv from the second bed. The pictures were not what the hotel really looked like.

At first, before coming to Orlando, I was sort of leary about staying at this hotel, after reading the reviews about how bad the rooms were. After my family and I got to the hotel, we were very pleased at how beautiful and organized the hotel and staff were, Then when we entered our hotel room, I was at amazement with how clean the rooms were. Thanks for the Warm Welcome. I will definetly come here again.

The Hotel has two seperate buildings. The new building is alright, but the old building should be demolished. It was falling apart. Concrete was cracked and stained. The rooms were dirty and musty. The bathroom was disgusting. We were on the 4th floor and the elevator on our side didn't work. The place looked like a flop house dive.

What a dump! Musty, filthy, smelly carpet hadnt been replaced in 20+ years . Old, peeling furniture everywhere with paint gobbed over it. Furnishings were decades past their time, covered with cheap patchwork. The bathroom missed no opportunity to save money. Warped, cracked door and rusty fixtures. The first time using the toilet, I grabbed the last sheet, bringing focus to the cheap plastic spindle. AC was broken. We slept on the kind of bed that perpetuate negative stereotypes. It felt like a rock, with nasty polyster bedspread and blanket, and rock-hard pillows.

Wonderful! I was already impressed by the video tour on the website, but to actually arrive there and see how beautiful and spacious and clean the room was took my breath away. I recieved the best hospitality from all of the staff and I was delighted by the goody bag I recieved at the check-in counter. It was a very wonderful experience and there is not another hotel in Orlando that I want to stay in but Barcelo!

When you walk into the lobby its very nice...When we went to the room however that was another story. The room was VERY musty and everything was damp in the room, the sheets, carpet, magazines. I was extremley grossed out. Housekeeping was a joke. The third night there we actually got stuck in the elevator for a good 10 mins. everything there needs a serious cleaning and upgrade. definately would NOT go back!!

This hotel chain has excellent properties, however, it would seem that they have just purchased this hotel and have not yet upgraded it to the Barcelo standards...has a very nice breakfast buffet, but the rooms feel old

Front of hotel was nice enough, but that's where it ended. Room was dirty, draperies stained, carpet so dirty it made bare feet black. Service at the front desk was good but in the restaurant it was very slow. Pool area, deck chairs etc, had not been cleaned in a long time. Only landscaping getting water was around front drive.

Shuttle was 1 hour late. Place needs a bit more upkeep. Room a bit musty. No free continental breakfast as advertised. Shuttle was a POS and was 30 min. late on pick up and 1 hour late on delievery. Hotel staff extremely nice.

Our room was nice and sleep number bed is the best. The service was outstanding!! Manager was very professional when providing directions. I will be back to the Barcelo very soon!

sheets were dirty, holes in sheets, couple of bugs (not sure if bed bugs). Beds were smaller than queen size promised. Breakfast buffet was okay, espec since it was free. Do not recommend unless you stay in more expensive rms

The standard side was aweful. I took an upgrade and it was a total 180. The tower side was very clean and apealing. The standards side was disgusting.

I highly recommend upgrading... It wasnt even worth trying out the standard rooms because they were not appealing nor did i feel very dafe from the start. After i upgraded for the additional price/night and after my first nights sleep it was totally worth it! Their sleep number beds were the highlight of my trip!!! The upgraded rooms were so comfortable i would definitely go back!!

The Roon was a little run down not cleaned properley the carpet was dirty the bathroon need needs updating.This is a hotel chain known for its upscale property reputation they did not live up to this.

I will never stay nor will I recommend this hotel to anyone. The room was dirty and the bathroom was filthy. Not to mention the roaches!!!!

Hotel was clean, good service, very comfortable. Relaxing and enjoyable. Only complaint was that the soda vending machine was broken, haha!

We stayed in the older side which the rooms are really old-needs to be updated. Newer rooms are extra $35. The playground was nice and pool and access to YMCA. Decent for price. Would stay again.

The best feature of this hotel was the location. Disappointed with customer service as I had to move hotel rooms twice - once because the room odor was very musky smelling & the other because the toilet was broken. Maintenance staff was excellent but I felt that mgmt should have upgraded the room free of charge for the hassel I went through. I would probably try another hotel chain before I would attempt to stay at this hotel again. The food at Cargo Bay was very good.

The room was disgusting... it smelled awful and wasn't clean... I won't mention what was left under the bed... the stairwells smelled... the maid left my door unsecure on the 2nd day... my room wasn't cleaned after the first day... the toilet barely flushed... the A/C unit was loud... the "Tower" might be nicer (I was in "the Resort"), but there's no way any place should be this dirty.

The interior rooms at this hotel are awesome. They have Sleep Number beds, which are wonderful and huge bathrooms. Very clean and staff was friendly. Parking lot is small and if returing to hotel late, its hard to find a spot. Will definitely stay at this hotel again.

Overall the experience was good,however the hotel issue with me was the needed deposit after room was rented. I did not see the need for that since the debit card I used had secured the hotel room. I believe this procedure is total unnecessary.

The room was clean and nice--I've stayed in better, but it was ok. Nice pool and restaurant. Great location. The showers need improvement--poor water pressure. Other than that, great stay.

The ratings for this hotel is way off. I actually cut a day out of my trip so we did not have to stay another night. I walked around with socks in the room and within an hour or two were filthy. To make up for it, we were offered a $10 gift certificate to the hotel restaurant.

Other than a noisy (squeak, squeak) A/C unit in my room, everything was fine. I did not use the pool but it looked very nice and inviting and I did not dine here. Good value considering location.

We stayed here for 3 nights December 18-20 and had a great time. Great location on International Drive and close to Universal Studios & Islands of Adventure. Clean room with a great view. We almost tried the shuttle to Universal Orlando, but the times were bad. I preferred to drive anyway. We'll be staying again next Christmas!

I don't know how this hotel could actually get good grades ,We stayed 2 nights 4th floor and our room was filthy could not even let the kids play on rug ....it was a total nightmare......
