Staff was very friendly. The beds were very comfortable, and the room was pretty clean. (The carpets were stained that was the 1 thing that didn't look clean). Starbucks in the lobby was great in the morning to wake up. The location couldn't have been more convienent- walking distance to Universal Studios, a TGI Fridays next door and a short drive to a 24 hr Walmart.

Starbucks in lobby huge plus, beds very comfortable.

Carpets were stained and dirty. Shower did not get hot enough for my taste.

We checked in late at night after visiting Universal (which was literally right across the street!). There was a gated paid parking lot, but as long as you used your room key to leave, you didn't have to pay (so don't leave it in your room upon checkout). The staff was very nice, except the maid service did knock on our door around 9 am asking when we would be checking out (checkout was at 11 am, so unless you are at our door close to that time, leave us alone!). There was supposed to be a final statement under our door at 6 am, but we didn't get one, so hopefully I don't get any surprise charges as the checkout line, at the desk, was too long to wait for. We just used the express checkout from our room. The room was very clean, larger than we expected, and the beds were very comfortable. Overall, we will definitely visit this hotel again.

Check-in was easy & they even provided warm cookies!

Did not receive statement under door confirming no additional charges, so I hope I don't get a surprise!

The DoubleTree at the entrance to Universal is an ideal location for tourists looking to be near the attractions with a smaller price. The hotel is located on busy Kirkman Road and Major Boulevard, which is directly across the street from the entrance to Universal Studios. It is a short distance from the shopping mecca of International Drive and is near the I-4 for easy access to Disney.

This is a very clean hotel with great service. All needs are catered to efficiently. It is also a wonderful hotel to host your business meetings or conventions as they have an array of rooms for meetings.
