Luckily we only stayed here one night. Big blood stain on the carpet outside of the bathroom, paint peeling. Worst part, they have charged my credit card an additional *$* and I don't know why.

The room was what you expect (nice). The bed was comfortable. The afternoon clerk was good. The morning Manager was not. The shower was awful. I like most people enjoy 1 temprature. That is not what you will get here. They charge a $2.50 fee per night on top of what I paid. There are better places to stay!

We went for a quick overnight the air conditioner flooded 6 feet into our room. We got the room on priceline and then they charged and extra twenty dollars for a king bed!!!
where's the water? - posted on 02/07/2007
We stayed at this property the night prior to my wife running in a 5K at Universal Studios. We discovered the next morning the shower didn't work (but the sink did). There was food left in the fridge from a previous guest. The front desk clerk did not seem interested in our poor experience. They need a big dose of customer service.
Terrible stay - posted on 02/07/2007
we were very disappointed with the room. We got a room with no hot water and learned the next morning that the management was aware of it and never informed us. By the time we reached management, who did not take our calls, it was too late to obtain another room for a hot shower, we had to leave for the airport. I would never stay in this hotel again and would like a refund.

The management staff needs to brush up on their customer service skills. The person I dealt with regarding an issue I had was unprofessional. The hotel is old but it holds up.

We enjoyed bringing in the New Year at this hotel. Staff was friendly, we "toasted in the New Year" at the hotel bar and slept in late. A wonderful vacation.

People are very kind and nice. One of the attendents speaks Portuguese so it is a good option for brazilians. It helped me a lot.

Hotel has a reataurant with a good convenient breakfast. Kids played basketball and Tennis. Very clean rooms with comfortable beds. Staff very friendly. We loved it and would go back in a heartbeat!

While this is not a new hotel it is one worth staying at. The rooms show their age with small things like toilet paper holder arms being loose and sink faucet loose because of missing screw. Housekeeping does a great job though. The on-site amenities [great pool, hot tubs, tennis court, basketball court] and great location [the heart of I-Drive attractions] make it one ideal for extended stays.
had a good time - posted on 11/15/2006
it was located in a great spot next to all attracions, we hada good time with the city walk and the wet and wild park across the street
Pretty nice for the money - posted on 10/31/2006
I thought this hotel suited its purpose. Our rooms were cleaned every day and the pool was pretty nice. The best part is the hot tub area that's all fenced in and that nice patio to lay out in the sun. It is also very close to Georges & Dragon...BEST PLACE!!! They have live music outdoors and GREAT fish and chips! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

The heat is on - posted on 08/17/2006
Convenient to Universal. Front desk staff is very attentive. Gave us a late check out time so we could enjoy the nice pool area and change in our room. Worst thing about this hotel is that the room A/C is on a sensor which shuts off while you're out of the room all day. I know - energy conservation. After 12 hours in the August heat, who wants to wait to cool down? Housekeeping lax...no tissues for 2 days & the bathroom floor was dirty. There's a $2.50 /day fee for "amenities" that are included at other hotels. Hotel was adequate, but a bit of a let-down.

The Lobby was the best feature of the hotel. The bathrooms were dirty and needed new caulk, painting, and cleaning. Very old and run down. "Energy conserving" air conditioner always kept the room on the warm side. Spend a bit more and go to a better hotel.
Great Hotel - posted on 07/07/2006
I thoroughly enjoyed my 5 days at this hotel. From the freindliness of the staff, the clean and very modern hotel rooms through to the fantastic pool area. It really is a great hotel to stay at. The costs for food and drink in the hotel were a lot cheaper than the pricing in bars in the nearby International Drive and the breakfast was probably the best in the area. I would recommend this hotel to young, old, couples and families, it's great. 6 stars.
This place is TRASH - posted on 07/07/2006
We were there for 3 days and had to be switched into 3 different rooms. The AC was broken, the place had been flooded, it really stank, the food was horrible, and the hotel was seriously under staffed. And on a holiday weekend nonetheless. They claim to be a 3 diamond hotel, but I don't believe it. Either that or AAA hasn't been there in quite awhile to double check said rating. The location is good, but that's about the only redeeming quality of this establishment. Your money would be better spent elsewhere, as in any where else. Steer clear!

Pretty good room, clean, tickets to local attractions can be purchased in lobby, restaurant is prety good. Overall a good experience but nothing to rave about and nothing negative except the noise level, which was a bit high.

We Are Only Sleeping There... - posted on 04/16/2006
For a low budget hotel the Clarion offered hospitality to its customers. Everyone was eager to help you meet your needs. The pool and hot tub were warm and clean. The dinning buffet was fair for morning breakfast, it depended on who was cooking. It varied from day to day whether the food was good. The rooms need more detail in cleaning in the bathrooms, and I would of gladly paid an extra couple dollars a day for oversized towels, and better toliet paper. But over all it was not too bad.

A very reasonable hotel for the budget conscious. Would recommend pool view. One can overlook pool, tennis and basketball courts. Very romantic view of city. Walking distance to both Universal parks and Wet and Wild. Also, Skull Kingdom.Right on the strip with many restaurants of all price ranges near. Courteous staff.
Good Place To Stay - posted on 06/16/2005
Clean, location is great, price for extended nights on room+universal tickets is a little high but still cheaper then doing them seperately. Good place to stay if your gonna be at parks and just need a place at night. TV has few channels, but pay per view is available but pricey. Nice pool and spas. Going here again in Nov
Not great! - posted on 02/23/2005
the hotel is a little shabby for a 3 star hotel. There are two full size beds in most rooms, so we couldn?t get a room with a single queen or king size bed. Wired and wireless internet access was available for free. Breakfast buffet is reasonable price at $8 but quality wasn?t great. If all you want is a bed for the night (and not a big bed!) then I guess the Clarion is OK.

We stay here every year. We find the staff to be very accommodating, the rooms are clean and comfortable and we avoid the traffic of International drive. Love the free shuttle to Universal city walk.
Room Change - posted on 11/19/2004
Having arrived in the middle of the night we were grateful for any bed to sleep in. However the night porter put us in a ground floor room opening onto the pool area - very noisy and not very private. The staff were great though and the next morning we moved to a higher room, with excellent views and none of the noise! The hotel was clean, in an excellent location and good value for money.

We stay in Orlando several times a year and will stay here again. The service was very good. Sofa was worn and had some stains but room was large, comfortable and clean. A good value.
