Rooms were clean, service great. Breakfast buffet was wonderful. Location on International Drive was great. Within walking distance to many shops and restaurants as well as a short drive to Disney. Beautiful complex.

Disappointed - posted on 06/01/2007

The best part of the resort was the pool and location, other than that, you would be reaching. Rooms are old, cleaning service was disappointing, room got cleaned at 4:30 pm, and do not try to park after 11:00 pm. For the price, you are better off going to the disney resorts, pay the extra, it's worth it.

The Skinny - posted on 06/01/2007

This hotel is good place to rest your head. A family may have better time. The poolside bar is good but not much else to do once you've had a dip and a drink. If your trip calls for you to be out of the hotel most of the time then this is a good place to come back to and relax at the end of the day. A big plus is the service and housekeeping.

Great hotel - posted on 05/27/2007

Orlando, Wynham was a great stay, we enjoyed everything the hotel had to offer, everyone was nice from the front desk to the housekeeping service. This hotel offered alot you really dont have to go anywhere because everything you need is right there on the grounds of the hotel......I would recommend this hotel to anyone that may be thinking about staying at a resort next to all the local attractions and etc......

Great set up. It gave you a relaxing environment right off a busy street. Close walking distance to all types of entertainment and resteraunts. Great spot for little get aways as a couple or family trip, for the low rates.

Quiet Relaxation - posted on 05/16/2007

I stayed only three days and two nights, in town for a business meeting. The atmosphere and facilities of this resort made it feel like my own personal vacation. Quiet walks, uncrowded exercise room, pools, spa. And yet I didn't have to take a cab to find restaurants and entertainment within a couple of blocks.

Awesome - posted on 04/16/2007

This property is a short walking distance to local shops, restaurants and entertainment. Free shuttle to SeaWorld is a plus. Will definitely stay next time my travels take me to the Orlando area. High recommend to other travelers. The only down side was could hear people in the rooms next to you. Staff was accomodating in trying to move us to another room, however, due to three weddings, two conventions, etc. unable to do so. They did make the effort. A++++++ to everyoone

WOULD STAY THERE AGAIN WITHOUT A QUESTION. STAFF WAS VERY HELPFUL AND ACCOMODATING. THE ROOM WAS CLEANED EVERY DAY. THE GROUNDS WERE NICE. WOULD HAVE LIKED A REFRIGERATOR IN THE ROOM. VERY CLOSE TO ALL ORLANDO SITES.

A Normal Trip - posted on 03/30/2007

Everything was great when we stayed there. we were actually there with what I believe was spring break so a lot of kids were there. My boyfriend played in the arcade( which there aren't many games for those wondering) and I lounged by the pools. Everything was fine until we went to check out! They tried to charge us $13 for a call from Ny that we never took. We weren't even in the room at the time the call came in, but because it rang to our room they tried to charge us so I had to be reimbursed. Other than that everything was great!

Think twice - posted on 03/22/2007

The service was poor. They were cutting corners. No Ice. Keys didnt work took a while and 2 calls to get technician to fix keys. Internet was an extra charge and the Internet connection was broken and required a wait for someone to fix it.

More like a 1 or 2 star rating - posted on 03/20/2007

Room smelled musty, found hair in the shower, next day a roach landed on my shoulder (I killed it and called housekeeping to clean it up) and then my son took a shower and started to use a clean towel, however, there was wax with hair on the towel - not an overall good experience. The grounds are beautiful though. I spoke to the manager and they gave me $70.00 off my bill, but I would never stay there again. I expected much more from a resort especially for the price.

Wonderful visit! - posted on 03/19/2007

We were very happy with our visit! We had King room, which had had wood floors and was spacious and clean. Pool open 24 hours. Within walking distance to lots of restaraunts. Only complaint is that every time we went to the ice cream/coffee shop, it was closed and there's only 1 hottub!

Nice Place - posted on 03/13/2007

I had read some bad reviews for this hotel but I don't think they are entirely true. The only bad thing about it was you could hear people in other rooms. It was very clean and nice. Air conditioner worked good, coffe shop in the resort, parking was an issue when special events are going on but not to bad.

Never again!! - posted on 02/27/2007

The location of the hote might be convenient, close to a stores and food. But the rooms inside need work. The paint was chipping in the bathroom. There are two pools, the west pool I suggest to stay away from since it's so close to the main road. Parking was a good deal-free. There's only two ice machines in one building.

Good Stay - posted on 02/22/2007

Excellent pet service, would stay again, plenty of room for my puppy to roam, gave us room with no carpet which made cleaning easy. Guard was mean to my fiaance, we complained and they offered apologies, but there was no need to questions our stay. Food too pricey, better going to area restaurants. Pools good especially the one in the back.

I've stayed here twice now and I know when people are lying in their review. Do not believe anyone who has anything below 3 stars. The grounds are amazing, the service is incredible, and the rooms are comfortable. Take it from someone who has a lot of experience.

A Disappointment - posted on 02/06/2007

Check-in was a hassle. Our first room was next to a exterior stairwell and EXTREMELY noisy!! The main lightbulb was burnt out and the room key scanner stopped working. Our new room was better, but room service failed to deliver until we called and reminded them of our order (almost 45 minuted after the original delivery time). We waited another 20 minutes for the food. We were still charged an automatic delivery charge of $2 plus a 19% tip. Despite, the many incidents, hotel staff remained friendly but unapologetic. Definitely our last stay at the Orlando Wyndham.

How in the world is this a 3 star? - posted on 01/16/2007

I figured I couldn't go wrong with a 3 star hotel, but gosh, I sure did. The first room we got was gross. The 2nd room was slightly better but there was a weird smell the whole time. The bathroom was dirty, and I was glad I had flip flops with me because I could not bear to walk barefoot in there. I expected a lot more, especially compared to the lovely grounds the hotel has. It is in GREAT need of room updates!

not impressed - posted on 01/06/2007

I was not impressed with this hotel at all. I expected a much nicer hotel especially with the name resort in it. The rooms desperately needed to be thoroughly cleaned. You could see the dust balls on the walls and ceilings. I did not feel comfortable sleeping at all. I would not go back again.

Disapointment - posted on 11/11/2006

Didn't get the king-size room that I reserved. Small room, too much furniture. Got locked IN the room. Took thirty minutes for workers to fix the lock and let me out. Bed too hard, had to pay for internet access, movies are too expensive, front desk staff too few, took forever to answer phone and check in and out. Bottom line, not worth the money I paid for the room.

Needs Cleaning - posted on 11/10/2006

Our first room was so dirty and we had to ask for a new one, which was only slightly cleaner. Parking / room ratio is limited. Pools are very nice, as is the onsite Starbucks. Shops and restaurants off site are close and plentiful. Staff were nice, but clueless.

We arrived at the hotel and after waiting on line for 15 minutes was checked in. Upon arriving at our room we were met with a musty stale oder. The bath rooms were dirty, I would not put my dog into the shower let alone my body. We immediately went back to the front desk and check out. For a few extra dollars we checked into a beautiful clean hotel on the same strip. Do not trust the pictures on the web site for this place.

Excellent choice! - posted on 07/30/2006

The Wyndam resort was a great choice for our vacation to Orlando because it was located on I-Drive, within walking distance of several of Orlando's attractions. We also loved hanging out by the many pools on the well-landscaped grounds. It's not often we stay in an affordable hotel that's as nice as this one! We would definitely reccomend the Wyndam to anyone.

Move ON - posted on 07/06/2006

This hotel is extremly over priced for the accomodations you receive. It is hard to get in and out of. There are 16 small buildings which all have rooms in them, not one large building so you have to drive to the pool or other parts of the hotel. The staff is extremly unfriendly and the internet is not free. There are only about 6 or 8 TV channels.

If you are looking for a place to just sleep this place would work, the activites are not conveniently located we had to drive to the pool. If you would like a resort I do not recommend. We found two bugs one in closet and the other in bathroom. Rooms do smell like mildew. Good location. But more of a hotel than a resort. Staff was nice and we were able to check in 4 hours early

Surprisingly excellent hotel, well maintained, beautiful rooms and grounds, quiet even in the midst of I-Drive attractions. Lots of room at 3 pools, staff most helpful. I stay in hotels of all types all over USA 50-60 nights a year and can say comfortably that this is a top-tier property.

My Stay at the Wyndham - posted on 04/24/2006

The Wyndham was the best hotel in the area. Everything is close, Universal Studios,Disney,SeaWorld exc. I don't have much complaints about the Wyndham other than we could not check in before the check in time and when it was actualy time to check in the room still wasn't ready, we had to wait an extra 20min to check in. The bathroom is not roomy. The room is clean the hotel is nice and you're free to go and come as you please. Hotel offers tickets to theme parks but try to get a better deal. There are alot of food places in the area.

Really loved this hotel - posted on 04/18/2006

We stayed at this hotel from 4/9-4/15/06. The hotel was excellent. It was in the heart of International Drive. Many places to eat- things to do. The hotel was extremely clean. The staff was excellent and friendly. Room was very clean. Hotel is right on International Drive the way the property is set up you never heard the traffic. I can't say enough about how clean the hotel is & how friendly the staff is. The 3 pools are a great feature. There is a big pool and kiddy pool in one area. This is great for those who have children with different swimming ability.

Pleasantly surprised - posted on 03/27/2006

I traveled with my wife and two small children. The room and hotel were clean. The pool area was large and very nicely landscaped. The bathroom was clean, the TV offered multiple channels, there were plenty of towels. Definitely recommended for the price. The only complaints I had were: 1) the door to the building did not lock, and 2) Int'l Drive is very busy, but that is not the fault of the hotel. Definitely recommended.

Never Again - posted on 03/26/2006

The location of the hotel and the pool are the only good things about it. I am Wyndham by Request member so I tried to stay with them as much as possible. I always get certain perks like a snack in room or more pillows and a free upgrade, but not if you stay at this location. I had to be moved 3 times before I got a clean room. The walls are paper thin. The person next to us recieved a international call at 3am in the morning it lasted till about 5am. We heard ever word! We were scheduled to stay 5 night, we only stayed 2 nights.

Great for families! - posted on 02/24/2006

We had a great stay! The room was good sized and clean. We enjoyed having the little fridge in the room and a small kids room off the main one for our little one's crib (they upgraded us for free). Also the playground and kiddie pools were nice, and the pool manager had lots of toys and floaties to loan us. Lots of great restaurants nearby (many shops and eateries within walking distance) However, housekeeping only came half the time we were there - we had to ration our clean towels at one point.

Didn't seem to be worth the money. There was no free breakfast and the hotel needs an update. The room was fairly clean. However, the stir sticks left in the "clean" coffee mugs had been used before. You could see the old coffee stains on the stir sticks from the previous guest. Uggh. The hotel served it purpose though because we were not there much.

The junior suite was comfortable and roomy for 2 people. Bed was comfortable and room was overall clean. However, I was disappointed that they chose not to replace the floor tile in the bathroom. That was the only down point. It made the bathroom look dirty, although we had a lovely housekeeper who did a great job cleaning. I would stay again.

We were a bit worried after reading some of the comments but we were really impressed by this hotel. We stayed for 4 nights and we got one of the newly renovated rooms with hardwood floors. The pool was lovely and inviting, the restaurants were great (minimal waiting), the staff was very friendly and the location was ideal (close to everything!). Can't wait to visit again! Highly recommend!
