We really liked the location. The service was good. The room was nice, but small. The Peruvian restaurant is a little expensive and will not satisfy someone who knows Peruvian food. We would return.

WOW! - posted on 12/22/2006

This was my first visit to this property.Location is great, in the heart of Coconut Grove, fabulous outdoor cafes. One of the best views I have ever had, it over looks the harbor at Dinner Key, a shot you have seen with dozen CSI miami trailers. The room was huge, modern and had a balcony overlooking the pool and water that was hard to leave. Lobby has hip boutique feeling. They turn down the lights at night and light votive candles. This is truly a GEM!

Great suite in a good area - posted on 08/12/2006

We were travelling with a 7 year old and I was tempted to book a hotel in South Beach aimed at kids (pool with slides etc). We decided to stay here instead as for the same money we got a one bedroom suite (2 TVs, kitchen, 2 bathrooms + washing m/c and drier). The view was lovely and we were able to walk out for meals and the area felt reasonably safe. The bar prices were quite high but we had a fridge. The parking was valet only and quite expensive. Other than that, friendly, clean and comfortable.

Hostile Hotel - posted on 05/04/2006

The hotel did not have our resevation. The staff was exceptionally rude, to the point of being hostile. After 3 hours we had room but could not get our luggage. We moved on to another hotel.

Beautiful hotel...BUT had problems with reservation..front desk employees very unorganized. They did compensate us with a free upgrade on one room. Would not stay there again.

City side is noisy - posted on 02/23/2006

The city view is so loud. We where on the 12th floor and It felt like we where in the clubs. I still don't understand why they did not put us on the oceanview side since they new we where traveling with an infant. We did ask for a room change but where booked until 2 days later. We where able to move for our last night to the ocean view side. It was much nicer and quieter. The staff was nice however they seemed a little highstrung. If we do go there again we will stay on the oceanside.

Complete escape - posted on 10/17/2005

Walking into the lobby of this hotel, you would think it to be unaffordable. The rooms were impeccable, the staff VERY friendly and attentive and we had the pool all to ourselves on both days of our stay. This is a beautiful hotel with a terrific view of the bay. Very relaxing. We did not use the hotel restaurant so cannot comment on that. We will definitely stay at this hotel again.

Room With A View - posted on 05/25/2005

The Staff was wonderful, very friendly and welcoming. Parking, as it is in Coconut Grove, is a pain. Valet was $20.00 per day. Room's view of Sailboat Bay was wonderful. Location was perfect...accessible to shopping, restaurants, etc. Paid $15.00 and spent one day at the other Sonesta Hotel on Key Biscayne which was a fun outing for the kids. Room had only one mirror in the bathroom and little drawer space. Room Service was poor as entrees were unrecognizable! But staff, location, and the view were outstanding! Pay the extra money for the View!

Relaxing Location at a Great Price - posted on 03/19/2005

The Deluxe ocean-view room was HUGE and the view was amazing. The balcony was well-used during our stay, as was the kitchenette. The rate we got was very reasonable, especially since we were able to save on meals by doing some cooking. When we did eat out, we loved the food and the service at the hotel restaurant. Only downside: if you want to explore Miami, you will need a car.

Park your car & forget it! - posted on 12/25/2004

Wonderful, friendly staff in a very sleek contemporary hotel with a location that allows you to walk to everything. Just what my husband and I desired. Sidewalk cafes, shopping, went to an AMC movie in Cocowalk, a park across the street: it was carefree. We didn't even think of renting a car....just took a cab from the airport. If anything, it would be nice to have a pick-up shuttle, but for a smaller hotel, I guess that is not practical. What a great getaway for some warm weekend temps. Nice poolside dining and bar service, too.
