The 147-room Hampton Inn and Suites Miami-Airport South/Blue Lagoon is a five-minute drive from Miami’s International Airport and the hotel provides a complimentary shuttle. Other items included with the room rate are an expanded continental breakfast or a breakfast to-go bag, high-speed Internet access, local telephone calls, in-room tea and coffee and parking. There are two meeting rooms available for business or social functions. The larger can accommodate 100 guests. The hotel is a 15-minute drive from downtown Miami, Coral Gables, Coconut Grove and Hialeah. Other area landmarks and attractions include Miami Beach, the Everglades National Park, Biscayne National Park, Little Havana, the art deco district of South Beach, the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens, Parrot Jungle and the Miami Seaquarium.

Cruise lovers say this is a great hotel to use before or after a cruise from the Miami cruise ship terminal. The accommodation is well-priced and the front desk personnel are very helpful and attentive. Families liked the property because it was well located for many of Miami’s attractions. There were good reviews about the well equipped rooms, comfortable beds and the flat screen televisions. Those who spent more for a suite with a kitchen said it was money well spent.
