The 204-room Courtyard by Marriott Miami Downtown provides modern, spacious accommodation for both the leisure and business traveler. The 14-story, non-smoking hotel is adjacent to the Knight Convention Center and within walking distance of Bayside Marketplace, American Airlines Arena and the Brickell Financial District. The hotel has four meeting rooms for business or social functions. The largest can accommodate 150 guests. Items included with the room rate are high-speed Internet access, a morning newspaper and coffee available in the lobby 24/7. The hotel is a short cab drive from the Port of Miami and a 10-minute drive from South Beach, with its white sands, pubs and clubs.

This is a popular hotel for those about to take a cruise from the nearby Port of Miami. It adds a holiday flair to what is mainly a business-oriented property. The hotel gets good reviews about the spacious, quality rooms and a team of efficient and helpful employees. Some clients complained about nearby noise, close to the Interstate and a busy fire station. The guestrooms, and 27 suites, have private balconies with views over either Biscayne Bay or downtown. There is a large work desk with ergonomic chair and high-speed Internet access, television with cable movie and news channels, pay-per-view movies, pullout sofa bed, in-room safe, alarm clock, tea and coffee making facilities, iron and ironing board, hairdryer and dual-line telephone with speakerphone.

The hotel has an outdoor swimming pool but no fitness center. The Downtown Athletic Club is half a mile from the property. The Courtyard Café is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and room service operates from 6.30am until 10pm. The 24-hour front desk has safe deposit boxes, information on the Miami attractions and events and a list of restaurants that will deliver to the hotel. Other amenities include a coin-operated laundry, an ATM, fax and copying services, valet dry-cleaning, video games and vending machines.

From Miami International Airport (MIA) 7 miles: Take 836 East To I-95 South. Exit 2A Downtown/Biscayne Boulevard. Continue straight on Biscayne Boulevard. Turn left at second stop light. At the next light make another left. Drive one block and through the next light. The hotel will be immediately on your left. Please check in before parking your car.
