Hotel was basically fine; nothing great, but certainly clean and accommodating in every respect. Unfortunately there was quite a bit of construction going on right around it which made it less attractive.

It was close to shopping and a grocery store.

Not too close to the beach.

We arrived hungry and tired and had to go to the "vending" frig across the street to get something to eat and drink. The hotel seemed as if it was on an isolated area with nothing around it.

The front desk was a great help. Arrived 7/27/07 circ 1:00 a.m.

Dining was limited; we had to go across the street to get something to eat at the Marriott courtyard.

The 300-room Marriott Dadeland Miami is a top class full-service hotel providing quality accommodation for the upmarket leisure and business traveler. The 24-story, non-smoking property has 22 meeting rooms for business and social functions. The largest can accommodate 900 guests. The hotel adjoins the Datran Center complex and Metro Rail and is opposite Dadeland Mall. The hotel provides a complimentary shuttle to that shopping center. Other items included with the room rate are airport transfers, by appointment, a morning newspaper, local telephone calls and coffee available in the lobby 24/7. Area attractions and landmarks include Key Biscayne, Coconut Grove, the Miami Metro Zoo, Parrot Jungle, eight golf courses, the Atlantic Ocean beaches, downtown Miami, Coral Gables and the Pro Player Stadium.

All the guestrooms, and two suites, have a refrigerator, minibar and wet bar. There is a work desk with high-speed Internet access, television with cable movie and news channels, pay-per-view movies, CD player, VCR player, in-room safe, alarm clock, tea and coffee making facilities, iron and ironing board, hairdryer and dual-line telephone with voicemail and speakerphone. VCR movies are available for rent.

This is a great hotel, in a great location. For shoppers it is a paradise, right across the street from the dozens of stores in the Dadeland Mall. Executives enjoyed seminars and business sessions in the well-equipped meeting rooms. The employees got good reviews for being professional, polite and responding quickly to problems. This is an expensive place to stay, particularly in you have a car and add the $19 daily parking charge. But quality does not come cheap.
