great rooms and clean clean clean - posted on 05/14/2007
spent the weekend for a seminar I found the hotel to be perfect for That.I upgraded my room to the next level and had great views of the port and it was huge could have held a meeting right in the room. The hotel was spotless.Food in the resturant was excellant and the transportation for getting around Miami was right outside the hotel.
Very poor hotel! - posted on 05/09/2007
We were expecting much more for the hotel price/name. The rooms very very old and cheap looking. The carpet was soiled beyond belief. Spending one night was nearly unbearable. We certainly would NEVER choose this hotel again. The room was large, but had hardly any electrical outlets.

This is a great hotel, very clean, lots of space. Customer service very nice, would highly recommend. Only down fall was the high price in the dinning area, breakfast for one person was $20, that was only for eggs, hash brown and a cup of coffee. Other than that, the hotel is Great.
Great Rooms, Fun Nearby - posted on 07/27/2006
This hotel is worth the money. The rooms are nice and big with great views of the Bay. You don't feel cramped in these rooms at all. The sleep number beds were a pretty cool feature as well. The hotel isn't on the beach but they do offer shuttle service to and from. The lobby is huge and spacious. The restraunt offers a big selection but it's kinda pricey. Check in was kinda slow. We got there before check in time but we were still waiting until after 3 for a room. That was the only let down though.

I loved staying at this hotel. The room was spacious, and had a great view of both the bay and downtown miami.
Perfect place to stay before a cruise - posted on 09/22/2005
I was very impressed with the hotel. We stayed here 2 nights before our cruise and we could see the ships from our room! How exciting for first time cruisers. The decor is fabulous, not the plain jane stuff you usually see in a hotel. Overall the hotel was very clean and accomodating. The pool area is a nice size for kids and adults. The only draw back is that it is not close to the beach or clubs but it's easy to get there by the hourly buses or taxis that are right outside. I recommend this hotel to anyone going on a cruise.
great view but taxis were scarce - posted on 07/25/2005
I truly loved the view from my room, but I had to walk to the Marriott in order to find a taxi. This is not safe, in this neighborhood, for a female traveling alone. Would only stay there again if I had a male companion with me or a rental car.

Our room had a great view and enjoyed the pool. Nice to catch the shuttle to South Beach for $3 or to the Marketplace for $1. We even rode on the peoplemover transit for free around the corner!

Nice building and rooms, but not very clean. Service very bad, especially front desk. Needs maintenance since many things don?t work (light bulbs, remote control, etc.)
Never Again - posted on 05/04/2005
I was so sorry that I opted to stay here for a pre-cruise. The service was terrible. I can't tell you how the food was; we couldn't get service in the restaurant and ended up walking out! The 3 bartenders on duty at once didn?t get the concept that they were there to keep glasses full. Too much socializing, not enough waiting on guests. There were no good movie channels and the pay movie system was poor quality. We ended up calling the front desk after 5 minutes to cancel our pay movie; we couldn?t understand dialogue in the movie.
Too Pricey for Bad Service - posted on 11/30/2004
Stayed here for precruise, I was scared to go out at night the neighborhood was so bad, tried to find a store, and was directed through the scariest parking ramp by myself. The resteraunt had great service and really good food. The room didn't have any good cable channels, only payper view. Beautiful View! Not good service though. Strange set up from the lobby also, was confusing. Waited and Waited and waited for shuttle to the pier, and paid 15$ for the service.
