The 580-room Marriott Biscayne Bay Hotel and Marina provides full-service hotel facilities for both families on vacation and the business traveler. The 31-story, non-smoking property is located in the center of Miami’s arts and entertainment district and is just minutes away from the Port of Miami. The hotel has two concierge level and 21 meeting rooms for social or business functions. The largest can accommodate 1,350 guests. The nearby Carnival Center for the Performing Arts features opera, jazz and symphony performances. Other attractions within a short drive include several golf courses, South Beach, Dolphin Stadium, Parrot Jungle and Miami Seaquarium.

It is the location with views of Biscayne Bay and downtown that appeals to many clients of this hotel. Sadly, there are a lot of visitors who say the property is need of updating and refurbishing. The fixtures and fittings maybe a little tired and dated but the employees are not. All the guestrooms, and 21 suites, have views over Biscayne Bay and downtown Miami and come with a refrigerator and minibar. There is a work desk with high-speed Internet access, television with cable movie and news channels, pay-per-view movies, video games, pullout sofa bed, in-room safe, alarm clock, tea and coffee making facilities, iron and ironing board, hairdryer and dual-line telephone with voicemail. The suites have a separate living room with a sleeper sofa.

Amenities offered

Dining options are the Bay View Grille and the Bay View Grille Restaurant. Both are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The latter specializes in nouveau Caribbean cuisine. Room service is available from 6am and until 11pm and there is full range of eating spots close to the property. The hotel has an outdoor swimming, children’s pool, whirlpool and fitness center. The 24-hour front desk has safe deposit boxes and there is a concierge desk, full service business center on-site and a coin-operated laundry. Other amenities include an ATM, vending machines, car rental desk, valet dry-cleaning and a gift shop and newsstand.
