Hotel was clean and convenient. The shuttle service which was one reason we booked this hotel wasn't adequate. The shuttle from airport was slow to arrive and they would arrange a shuttle to the cruise ship for a price. However they would only arrange one and when it was full you had to get a taxi for twice the price of the shuttle.

Hotel was close to airport, had a free shuttle to the Port of Miami, Bell Captain was friendly, shuttle driver was willing to drop us off at a nearby location but the hallways for the rooms looked like a 1.5 star quality and there was no breakfast or breakfast bar.

Free shuttle to Port of Miami.

Definitely not in the same class as Hilton or Marriott.

The 129-room Fairfield Inn Miami - Airport West Doral Area provides economically priced accommodation for both the business and leisure traveler. The three-story, non-smoking hotel is four miles northwest of the airport and provides a 24-hour complimentary shuttle. Other items included with the room rate are an expanded continental breakfast, a managers reception on midweek evenings, high-speed Internet access, parking, local telephone calls, a morning newspaper and coffee available in the lobby 24/7. The hotel is one mile from the Doral Country Club with its championship golf courses. Other attractions within a short drive include downtown Miami, South Beach, Dolphin Stadium, and the Port of Miami.

Several guests liked this location, a little further away from the airport than many of the airport hotels. They found the area quieter. Major attraction for most clients was the low rates, which included a refrigerator and microwave oven in the room. The employees got good reviews for being helpful and passing on good ideas about dining and attractions to visit. Advice from earlier clients: If you are staying prior to taking a cruise from the Post of Miami, book your shuttle when you book the room. It will save you money.
