I took my daughter and two friends to South Beach for 3 nights. We were upgraded at check-in and the room was quiet large. The hotel was in a great location. Breakfast at the restaurant was very good and a great bargain at $4.25 a person. The staff was very professional. We all had a great time at the beach, shopping, and eating out. My only complaint was the valet parking. It was $35 a day and took 20 mins to get your car.

Gorgeous hotel, friendly staff, however I would not recomend staying here if you ever plan on leaving your room. We were gone for a few hours and our room was robbed blind and there were no signs of forced entry, the hotel did nothing to reimburse us.

concierge staff were extremely helpful and very friendly! great attitude with customers! safe area, and loved that the beach was literally across the street! walking distance to a few bars in the area as well!

I was incedibly disappointed with my stay at the Strand. Please don't be lured in by the photos. The rooms are not as modern or a fraction of the size shown on the pictures. Also the make shift front lobby is more like a small foyer. The security guy looks like a small teenager and after checking in at the front desk the clerk walked me outside through a dark alley to get to an entirely different building that my room was in. I did not feel safe and the noise level is unbearable. Overall this Hotel is a scam---less than satisfactory and definitely not worth the hefty room rate!

our room that you guys booked wasn't a one bedroom it was a studio we booked 3 months in advance & no one notified us about any change I feel like i have been scamed i will never use travolisity again & please save your apologies if you really want to help call the hotel & see why this happened & give me somekind of refund for the room we got other wise save your apoligies

I stayed at the Strand from June 1 - 4. The service was great. I requested a junior suite with an ocean view but was upgraded for free to a one bedroom suite with an ocean view. The location is great. Right in the middle of South Beach. The room was beautiful and the bed was quite comfortable. Rooms include a full kitchen which is nice if you want to eat in and save some money. The only drawback was the loud noise at all hours of the night and the lack of a bathroom by the pool. The rooms don't seem to have any sound proofing.

The stay at the Strand Hotel was wonderful. We had the the Jr. Suite/Standard View room and it was extremely nice. I wll definately stay at this hotel again!!

The hotel is new and contemporary. We stayed in a one bedroom suit and by far largest room in Southbeach for the money. The view from the roof top pool is incredible. Walk out your door and your on the beach or party down the street easy walking distance. Room service delivers $5.00 breakfast from down stairs restautrant. Only thing to watch is the sofa bed is firm so get dibs on the master bed early. I'll stay again my new farvorite hotel in SoBe.

Group of 5 gorgeous girls stayed in the junior suite (that's our secret!) Loved it!!! We fit very comfortably, By winking and being la-friendly we were able to check in at around 9 am. Room is exactly like the pictures, very stylish. Shower was awesome! Carpet was nothing to brag about, but so what. Couch bed wasn't all that soft but the king bed was divine. Service was cool. To be expected from a new hotel.

Two good things.. location and size. The room was falling apart. The bathroom door was broken the whole time we were there and the closet door fell off the hinges. Also the carpet was stained and gross. They threw this place together to be open in time for spring break. I expected alot more for a brand new hotel. And there is an additional charge on my credit card for $1000 and I cant get a return call and this is going on TWO WEEKS now!! This hotel is not worth the money!! I have been to South Beach many times and have stayed at places that we nicer and cheaper!

The Strand Hotel had only been open for a few weeks.. The location is great. Room was superbly fitted out and huge. A kitchenette with all the mod cons. Glorious bathroom. The only complaints we have are that the noise from the bar downstairs is pretty loud so be careful if you're not a night owl and secondly, housekeeping didnt seem too inspired to re-stock our room with toiletries or the kitchen with coffee. All other staff were great. The rooftop pool is great but could use an umbrella or two and perfection would be a bar by the pool. Would happily stay there again.
