Customer Reviews for Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott

Very Misleading - posted on 04/23/2007

Bad/Rude Serivce, Low quality everything, Food is decent but expencive, they nickle-and-dime you, internet doesnt work so you have to pay for it, employees uneffecent at fixing problems, manager stinks and is always in a "meeting" or not there, not 1 person was happy with the hotel, not worth the price unless you are a super-budget travler (even though the hotel is not that cheep). Over all, stay somewhere else.

Disappointment - posted on 04/07/2007

There was no hot water in the room, the only response for administration was that "we had to wait" .. for 3 hours. The phone lines were always busy, difficult to call out. Reception didn't give urgent messages. In addition, the hotel is far away from all local attractions whereas it sells on its location. Hotel service is non-committal at best, and generally ineffective at solving issues. beach is ok.

We had a wonderful time, the location is great. If you don't know your way around we found the taxi's wonderfully pleasant, and knew where to go for the most FUN!!! We will be back very soon...too much fun....the kids and I loved our stay.....THANKS

Nice location but must improve service - posted on 03/10/2007

The room was too cold to sleep (62F). I switched the system to "Heat". Kept blasting cold air. My wife called the front desk at 5:00am and was told there was no heat in the hotel. No blankets in the room either (Cheap!). Front office would not bring blankets to the room (bad service!), had to go down at 5:00am to pick them up. Also the safe was broken. They wanted to charge $2/day for the safe and we had to argue with the front desk and speak to the manager to waive the charge.

Very limited parking be prepared to pay $18 per night for valet, be sure to go out on the boardwalk and walk south to the Carrabas resturant on the deck, great outdoor dinning

excellent experience - posted on 01/25/2007

top floor room 1016, excellent, use the back elevator, drops you right by the room, X the receptionist was the best, cont. breakfast was the best, went different times throughtout our stay and the area was always well-stocked, didn't like the 2.00 dollar per day charge for the room safe?? great rest. at the Marriot two hotels down.

Could Be Nicer - posted on 08/28/2006

Location is great with proximity to everything without the crazy traffic of SoBe. Desperately needs a facelift though; public and bedrooms were clean but didn't appear to be due to old stains and flaking paint, etc.

I hate to do this. - posted on 03/04/2006

Wow... the rooms and the lobby look like two different places. We checked in and our room had a stain on the curtain and the entire floor looked like they just slapped paint on the walls to call it updated. Asked to get switched, but the same dump. We left 50 min after checking in!

Some good and Some bad - posted on 08/21/2005

Mix up on arrival with reservations (room very small), but got upgraded to larger suite room after complaining. Staff very nice and went out of their way to please; concierge very helpful with directions and restaurant advice. Rooms dirty and need updating; Service good. Average breakfast buffet. Small pool. Best part is staff and that it's oceanfront.

Don't Know What Happened - posted on 07/18/2005

Waited until 4:30 for "Early" checkin. Carpets very dirty. Elevator stuck between floors. 12:30 AM fire alarm not working in travel companion's room. They were not notified of evacuation. Never again.

great hotel! - posted on 06/20/2005

I satayed at this hotel with my family and it is the best hotel i have been at. It is for a good price. The beach is right in the back and there is a boardwalk in the back too. The staff is the nices that i have encountered. The rooms are very clean and the complimentary breakfest was great. This hotel is great for just about anybody. best hotel i have been at!

Will stay again - posted on 04/23/2005

This is a clean, fairly up-to-date hotel right on the beach & boardwalk. The staff were some of the best I've ever encountered - and I've stayed at 5-star hotels. The carpet in the room was very worn and ought to be replace. But otherwise I will definitely stay here again - and for more than one night. Only complaint was $28 from airport & then another $21 to sea port.

My wife tells me she has already provided feedback about one of the servers at South Beach pool. Except for that person, everyone at Gaylord Palms was first-rate. I would love to come back again sometime.
