About the Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott

This hotel, now the Best Western Atlantic Beach Resort, provides reasonably priced oceanfront accommodation for the vacationer, and has facilities well suited to the business traveler. The 10-story full-service hotel is minutes from South Beach, with its white sands and clubs, the Miami Beach Convention Center and the AA Arena, home to the NBA Miami Heat. Items included with the room rate are high-speed Internet access and local telephone calls. There is no charge for children 17 and under sharing a room with one paying adult. The hotel has a ballroom, and meeting and banquet facilities that can accommodate 150 guests. Activities available close to the hotel include fishing, jet skiing and surfing. Area landmarks and attractions include the Bass Museum of Contemporary Art, Little Havana, the Miami Seaquarium, Parrot Jungle and the Miami Children's Museum. The hotel is less than a mile from Mount Sinai Hospital and the Miami Heart Research Center.

Sadly, this is not the best Best Western. Plus points are the great location on the beach and a very friendly and helpful group of employees working at the front desk. Many guest who have stayed here say that the rooms are shabby and in need of refurbishment. There were also many complaints about the housekeeping staff and services. Several clients who booked a room with an ocean view found themselves overlooking the traffic on Collins Avenue. Some of those who complained were moved without a problem. Others were not so lucky because there were no more rooms with ocean views. YES, if location is the major concern. NO, it you want a modern hotel with smiles from the room cleaners and a hint of luxury. Read our customer reviews?

Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Accommodations

All the guestrooms have a work desk with high-speed Internet access, refrigerators, IDD telephone with voicemail and speakerphone, microwave oven, coffee and tea making facilities, cable television with news and movie channels, pullout sofa bed, iron and ironing board, alarm clock and a hairdryer. The executive suits have the added benefit of a microwave oven and private balconies.

Amenities offered

The resorts’ Aqua Restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and offers continental cuisine. Room service is available in the afternoons from 5pm until 10pm and there is a cocktail lounge. There is a full range of restaurants within walking distance of the property. The hotel has an outdoor heated pool, massage services, an exercise facility, guest laundry and full service business center. The 24-hour front desk has safe deposit boxes and information on area events and attractions.

From Miami International Airport (MIA): Exit airport towards SR 112 East, pass toll and continue on SR 112 toward Interstate 195 East (Miami Beach) /Julia Tuttle Causeway. Continue East to Arthur Godfrey Road /41st Street until you reach Collins Avenue. The Best Western Beach Resort is on the Northeast corner of 41st and Collins directly on the beach.
