Great location, right across from Lummus Park / beach. Great verandah few on Ocean Blvd with sufficient seating and shade. Starbucks right across the street. Great restaurants nearby no need for auto. The staff was extremely helpful, extremely accommodating, and very courteous. Very modern in renovations, like the spacious lobby entrance where you can lounge around. Rooms are clean and reasonably newly renovated. Definitely would go there again.

The lobby of this boutique hotel was newly redesigned beautifully. It is cozy chic for sure. The rooms are very plain and the bathroom is small, but that is how all the boutique hotels are. The decor was all white. The tub and the sink had major drainage problems. Mattress and bedding were great. Had a nice flat screen TV. The only elevator was very small and slow, but there are only 3 floors, so you could take the stairs. Overall, it was fine, the location is optimal!

If you want a good location, stay here. You will be disappointed from then on, there is nothing else good about this hotel, the hallways have paint spilled all over the carpet, the bathrooms have not been updated since the 60's, no amenities whatsoever. Nobody dares enter the pool, which is no bigger than a small hotel room. the only positive is the Starbucks across the street. **This hotel has absolutely no possibility for an ocean view** The ocean is across the street, through the park, and across the beach, approx 1 block. Close, but no view.

It was our first time to Sobe, and the best I might add. Everyone at the hotel was extremely helpful and never hesitated to answer questions. We stayed in the junior suite. There were 2 double beds, 2 tvs, a couch (wasn't sure if it folded out), nice view on Ocean Dr., and surprise.. 2 bathrooms! The pictures are not decieving.. what you see is what you get. The hotel is also across from Lummus Beach which was extremely convienient and walking distance of everything from shops to restaurants. It was also really quiet so don't worry, you'll get some sleep! We'll definitely be back!

Beautiful hotel, it matches the pics accurately! the staff was friendly and helpful (we were given vip passes to the hottest clubs)! excellent location. small, but cute, well-kept pool.

The junior suite is 2 small rooms combined into one. Location on Ocean Dr. Terrific. Quiet. Staff very nice. Not the Hyatt but relatively cheap. Terrific value. We'd stay again. Lobby was large with plenty of seating. Continental Breakfast in lobby was good enough. Sit on the porch and watch the people go by, read a book, relax.

the hotel is right in the district of art decor area and is nice to stay in a hotel with history and ombience at the same time the room maid was superb and staff very friendly will stay again

The lobby is very nice but the rooms leave a lot to be desired.The towel are so thin you can see thru them. Makeup on pillow case. No fitness center very small pool using valet service for car takes a long time to get it. Bathrooms need updating as well as the guest rooms. We visit Miami twice a year.

After looking on the very well designed website we were very disapointed with The Betsy Ross. From the outside we thought WOW but it was all downhill from then on. They messed up our booking and even tried to put the mistake back on us! Our upgraded Ocean View (?) room was very shabby with a view of a palm tree!! Breakfast, don't get me started, what a fiasco!! The staff were rude. What shame as it's in a wonderful location but don't be fooled by the gorgeous frontage!

The hotel was not clean the rooms were over priced for the value. The staff were unfriendly and did not make our stay enjoyable. Plus they had nothing to offer the staff, pool was closed, gym was closed, our room door did not close or lock. It was not a good experience.

My stay at the Betsy Ross was extremely pleasant. The location is perfect...right on Ocean Drive but just far enough from the loud nightlife to stay serene. The lobby and bistro are designed in a very peaceful and inviting way. The pool reminds area is reminiscent of a European villa. The rooms are not quite as luxurious as the hotel's beautiful exterior but are spacious and clean. Also the front porch is a perfect area to start and finish your day watching the sights of South Beach.

Fab location right on the Ocean Drive.Light and airy reception with accommodating staff. A colonial air pervades with staff doormen dressed in colonial clothing. A great location at a reasonable price with a swimming pool!

This hotel was so nice and the people staying and working here were so friendly. The beach is literally right across the street. The rooms weren't the BEST but did the job. I heard they were getting redone. I loved the morning breakfast. I am coming back very soon.

Housekeeping wasn't the best, one bathroom was broken, the other had a dirty sink. The restaraunt was always empty. If you are not picky and just want a place to sleep, it will do the trick

beautiful lobby and pool area. courteous staff but the room was really in need of renovation to match the rest of the hotel. It was a bit of a shock to walk into the room as the rest of the hotel is so nice. did hear they are going to renovate the rooms next

This hotel is located in a great location. The beach is right across the street. The staff is very helpful and professional. The rooms were ok for the price. I would not recommend a room by the pool because it could be quite noisy. Overall, my experience at the Betsy Ross was great. I would definately stay at this hotel again!!!

Dont be fooled by the pictires in lobby. Romms outdated, small, carpet dirty,and smelly. Lamps did not work, Toilet noisy. Nice Lobby, and pool. Great location Rooms and Baths need alot of work.No parking Valet is $ 25 per night.

The hotel has the best location and the lobby, dining room and pool have been recently renovated...the decoration is beautiful. The rooms are comfortable, however it would be great to have them renovated to match the ambiance of the Lobby. The staff was wonderful and were always ready to provide the best service. We also got a room upgrade which was great!

The lobby and location were both exceptional. However, the rooms were small, dark and dated. I wish the rooms matched the extraordinary lobby. The pool was also surrounded by 4 walls, so it didn't get much sun. Overall, the hotel and its employees were great!

The staff was most accomidating. The pool area is inviting, although we didn;t use the pool because the ocean is so close. The rooms are just o.k. they need a facelift. But the location is great for going across the street to the beach and we were hardly in the room anyway. Eat at Finnigans Way if you want a good steak.

This hotel is in a great location on Ocean Drive. Beach is across the street and restaurants are just a few blocks away. Rooms need some updating but are still quite comfortable. Would definitely stay again!

The hotel has just reopened about 6/7 months after being closed for a year or so. The staff was wonderful and worked hard to accomadate all requests.The rooms are going to be updated ,but are liveable now. Location was perfect for the south Beach area, you can walk every where.We would difinitly would stay there again.

Easy access to beach. Short walk to many restaurants and shopping. Hotel staff is friendly and helpful. They recently updated the lobby--they said they are doing the rooms next. Our room was pretty nice--great view and two bathrooms!

We enjoyed our stay. The hotel is ideally located. The lobby is very inviting and the staff is warm and personable. They even mingle with you making you feel at home. The hotel is clean but the rooms could use updating. However the rooms are clean and functional, they just do not match the quality of the hotel exterior and lobby.

Great location. Good Value. Our room was large and clean. If youre looking for a four star room this isnt it. But if you want a clean inexpensive room for sleeping, this is it. Service was good and overall this is worth the price we paid.

The Betsy Ross was the ultimate location for staying on South Beach. You are walking distance from the two best spots to go in the evening for dinner and shopping - Ocean Blvd and Lincoln Ave. The staff are so friendly, we felt like we were coming home every time we walked back into the hotel. The hotel had the character of an older hotel and was very clean and comfortable.

Hotel was great. At the edge of historic district is perfect - not as noisy as the middle of Ocean Drive. Direct access to beach, easy walk to Lincoln Mall and right on Ocean Drive for easy access to night life of South Beach. Room was clean. Service was friendly. Lobby is very nice, with wireless web access and a decent breakfast.

I stay in SOBE every week for business. This is "hands down" the best hotel I have had for the money. Staff was excellant, good continental breakfast and spacious rooms, not to mention the beautiful lobby and lounge. Extremely clean. I will stay here for the duration of my business in SOBE, without a doubt!

The Besty Ross hotel was a breath of fresh air. The hotel accomadated me with whatever I needed. The hotel is located right on Ocean Drive so you have access to anything you little heart desires. The hotel was going through renovations of the lobby at the time but besides that the rooms itself were excellent. I am surely going back and would recommended this hotel to anyone.
