Stayed at the Astor from 4/2 to 4/6. Great stay. Staff was very friendly. close to beach. didn't eat at hotel, thought it was a bit expensive. Only problem was even though it's a non-smoking hotel, someone was smoking in one of the rooms and the smoke was coming through the bathroom vent, which made the room smell like a pool hall for our final night. staff didn't seem to care when I informed them, some of the staff is a little too cool for school. Good stay overall.

I have stayed here 3 times and cannot say enough good things. Great quiet location, close to everything and accomodating staff.

The Hotel Astor was conveniently located at 10th and Washington, near the beach and a short walk to Lincoln Road for Shopping. The hotel was clean, the bathroom was nice, and the service was great!

...without the gawdiness, pomp, and circumstance of the nearby art deco properties. we loved the Astor. it was walking distance from the ocean, the cafe at the Wolfsonian across the street is beautiful, the water pressure in the shower was awesome, the bed/pillows are very comfortable, warm lighting, and the interiors retain a certain clean, sleek, caramel/steel look that's very calming to the eyes. no fluff and gold lining here. no pool, but we could walk to the ocean.

The Astor was a wonderful experience, I would like to recommend everyone. I want all to know this hotel was the best on South Beach especially if you want a relaxing place to stay. From the entrance there was soft music being played, dim lighting and candles lit, very sensual. The room was very clean, and sensual as well. Best of all was the service, I had the best service from the front desk. She gave me all of the best clubs, resturaunts, and even a comedy show to go to. There were on-site massage specialists that came to my room and delighted me and my boyfriend.

Not a four star hotel rather two stars. I was told by the front desk that the hotel was 6 blocks from the convention center but it was13-16 blocks. The telephone in my room didn't work. The toilet ran nonstop. Hair dryer didn't work I paid for a deluxe room but found when I got there that they had no such room. The one good thing about the hotel was it had comfortable beds.

The Astor is centrally located and is a renovated art deco style hotel. I found the rooms to be clean but in need of an overhaul. Surprisingly, the faux vitrolite at the reception desk was cracked in several places and gives a negative impression right at check in. Staff was professional and helpful.

I stayed here ten years ago and just got back a few days ago and it was as good as ever. You can actually sleep on SoBe.

The Astor Hotel far exceeded my expectations. Clean, quiet, great staff and nice rooms. The staff did their best to anticipate our needs. I will stay there again.

I have never been so happy with a stay. The entire staff provides phenomenal service! They always had a kind word. The food is excellent with appeal to the eye as well as the stomach! Just 2blks from the beach it was great to 'have fun' then come back to where you could actually get rest. Parties draw a wonderful mixed crowd, yet it's where the party starts, not ends. IE: no drunk people running around. The rooms were kept extremely clean with chocolates on your bed everynight. Who could ask for more? I'll definately go back!
