Lovely updated decor, comfy beds, congenial staff, beach/boardwalk proximity, nice pool deck, and best "hotel restaurant" food we ever ate (dinner, at least)! But it's a bus or cab ride to the fun neighborhoods.

very nice and relaxing. The pool and the beach were great! Walking the boardwalk was very nice.
Disappointing - posted on 04/10/2007
Food service is good. Handicapped room located on 4th floor at front of hotel and adjacent to meeting rooms. Very noisy location just above garbage enclosure and very expensive for such a small room. Not able to get into room until 6:20 p.m. even though check-in time is 3:00 p.m. Television not operating properly and never serviced in spite of 2 complaints to front desk. Room condition and maid service mediocre. Bellmen very aggressive!!! Very disappointed compared to other Four Points/Sheraton properties and would NOT stay at this hotel again.
A wonderful stay! - posted on 04/01/2007
The hotel desk supervisor was very pleasant along with the rest of the staff. We checked in with no problems. Our room was upgraded and a basket of fresh fruit was delivered to our room to welcome us. The room was very clean and the bed was so comfortable. The ocean view was beautiful. The pool and surroundings were very well maintained. We had an enjoyable stay. Will do it again.

We arrived to a cordial greeting, easy check in, escort to our room and a quick overview of the property amenities. The view from our oceanfront balcony was perfect. We enjoyed several meals in the on site restaurant and were never disappointed with the quality, presentation or service. The beds were comfortable. The upkeep in the room especially the paint and tub surround did not match up with the rest of the property. The pool area was well maintained and the lobby areas were excellent. The boardwalk and easy access to transportation added to our enjoyment.

This was my first time in Miami and I was pleasantly surprised at how helpful the hotel staff was and the location was even better. The hotel lobby was quite nice and the room was clean. Housekeeping was very prompt. The hotel has a great $12 breakfast buffet and was only a bus ride or a short cab ride away from the beach. I would definitely stay again!

I arrived on 8/19/06, the staff was friendly. The major problem was the hotel room's door. The electronic key did not work. I called the front desk to inform them. The maintenance man arrived 10 min. later. He gave me a key to unlock/lock door. It seems (attempted) that the door had been tampered. The safety lock was damaged (screws were not fastened). The bedroom was very clean (no bedbugs). I tripled checked!!! The cleaning staff arrived early in the morning (around 10am).
Lack of Customer Service - posted on 04/30/2006
We arrived at 9 a.m. to attempt to check in after a 7 day cruise. The employee's at the counter were very short and rude to my wife as she attempted to check in early. We were not allowed to check in until almost 3 pm . The A/C did not work in our room and temp. outside was 90 degrees. Employee's were rude to us once again, and provided very poor customer service. We left and went to another hotel. I would not recommend this hotel.

the 3-11 desk clerk on 3/28/06 was rude and lazy. Everyone else was great the duration of our 5 nite stay. Pretty Clean mostly and pool towel available always fresh and warm! Housekeepers came late in the day.

My only complaint was I booked a night knowing I would arrive at 7:30 am as I fly red eyes. I then check into my room, shower and go to my business meeting. However, my room was prepaid and since I was not there the evening before they gave my room away. However, they did make good out. The valet guys were great. They held your doors open and greeted upon arrival and leaving. I would return. The rooms were very clean and the employees very polite.
THE STAFF COULD NOT CARE LESS ABOUT YOU! - posted on 10/12/2005
This hotel needs to be renovated. Dinner trays were left on floor in from of elevators all day long. This was the worst group of staff and management - they did not even pretend to care about complaints or requests. As guests were trying to relax by the pool at 1pm a staff person began POWER WASHING THE POOL DECK! Some guests actually were sprayed with water & wood chips. The valet staff were very rude to guests, they didn't like to hear complaints about waiting 1 hour for car even after calling them 1 hr in advance. Don't make the same mistake we did - Stay away from this place.
A Poor Choice - posted on 08/04/2005
Our visit began with a lazy and indifferent front desk clerk. The valet parking requires patients and planning 30 + minutes to retrieve your car. The elevators are old and worn out. The only working ice machine in a 10 story hotel was on the 4th floor. There are much better values in Miami Beach. I would not reommned this hotel to anybody.
Housekeeping - posted on 06/16/2005
The only problem I had was with the housekeeping service. In cleaning the bathroom, we only received wash/face clothes one day out of the three nights that we stayed.

My stay at the Sheraton Four Points was very nice. I had a wonderful room with a fabulous ocean front balcony. The view was perfect!
Not Thrilled - posted on 03/04/2005
Stayed here for one night-thank goodness. The lobby of the hotel is impressive but don't let it fool you.The room was small but clean with an ocean view-no balcony. The hallways are dingy as is the exterior of the hotel. The pool was good and right next to the beach. The elevators are a huge problem. Had to allow 10 minutes extra time in order to get on one of three elevators. They are old, small and slow! They don't accomodate more than 4 people at a time.
Beautiful and Incredible Hotel and Location! - posted on 02/22/2005
Absolutely beautiful hotel! Location one of best in world! Ocean and boardwalk past lovely pool area and manicured lawn! We walked boardwalk at sunset then swam in heated pool and large jacuzzi, palms, moonlight. Room very nice, clean, marble bathroom. Room faced Collins, fun watching convertibles, but request oceanview! Never have to leave area: Walk boardwalk north for oceanside dining Fountainebleau EdenRoc. Staff extremely pleasant. Told to call valet parking 20 minutes before we wanted car, called 30 minutes before, car was waiting for us. Highly recommend!

This is my third time staying at the Four Pts. Sheraton on Miami Beach--once a year to get away from the cold Canadian winter. I had a little trouble getting a good rate, and it took some effort via Internet, telephone, and e-mail. At the front desk, I asked for a room upgrade to Oceanview with a balcony, AND I GOT IT??? The room was newly decorated, very tasteful and clean. Pool and area are very nice, and boardwalk along the beach is a great walk. The beach is of course, beautiful.
Absent Mgmt - posted on 02/15/2005
We complained at front desk, but mgr was not around, and staffer did not seem to care--were told to come back the next day when Mgr WAS around. Reservation was incorrect?not much initiative from behind the desk to fix the problem (they eventually did) Staff blamed problems on the Boat Show (our stay WAS NOT concurrent with the Boat Show). Pool not heated, very limited room service menu, hallways need molding and updating, rooms small (no refrig), limited vending. Elevators slow, but don't take the stairs, as you end up in the alley next to the dumpster.
