Very dissapointed - posted on 05/01/2007
We asked for early check-in in advance but ended up waiting in the lobby for almost 4 hours (!!!!!) with a hungry newborn who also needed to be changed and a bored toddler after we didn't sleep all night! We saw many people leaving but the rude girl in the front desk wouldn't give us a room or let us speak to the manager. The service was AWFUL. I would never go back again. Also-we found a big cockroach in the bathroom! The management doesn't seem to care what people really think about the hotel. Too bad.
WHAT a DUMP - posted on 04/01/2007
Online Travel Website put me here as a 2-star hotel. Ugh. I'd call it more like a piece of space junk. I'm an airline pilot and have stayed in some dives, but this place makes them all look good. I wouldn't spend $30 a night to stay here, honestly - it needs to be demolished and replaced with something new, and the staff as well.

When reading reviews you tend to think, maybe they just had a bad visit. How bad could it really be? Well it is really that bad. I understand you want to save $ where you can during a vacation, but this is not worth the headache! Everyone I spoke to had the same complaints that we did. We never got housekeeping, after several phone calls ended up going to get our own towels! Rooms are disgusting/falling apart! I cleaned the bathroom myself before I would even step foot in it! Elevators didnt work properly. The manager is completely rude!

My stay was great! The hotel is perfect and the towels were sooo soft. I will stay here again.

Would not recommend this hotel to my WORST enemy - posted on 07/03/2006
The rooms are VERY Small. I had my teenage boys and wouldn?t leave them alone to use the downstairs bathroom. It was somewhat clean but felt I had to WASH the stink off of me when I promptly checked out and moved down the beach. I can NOT believe DAYS INN hangs their sign on this hotel. The breakfast was a JOKE!
Awful experience - posted on 06/20/2006
Poor/rude service. Overcharged me on check out and had an attitude about changing/correcting it. Pay more and stay in a nice hotel.
The worse hotel in South Beach - posted on 06/04/2006
Hopefully I can help someone to not ruin your vacations in South Beach. Do not offer what is announce there. No Free Parking (cost $20 per day) beside take 40 minutes from the time I request my car to bring the car from ballet parking. NO Free Internet access (cost $15 an hour) No towels in the room. Extremely noise. Elevators never work. Pay for 3 nights, they lock me out of the room the second day. They charge for 3 nights but they make a mistake that the only way to fix it was charging other day in my credit card because was no manager in duty. Stay Away
Great location for the money - posted on 01/21/2006
This hotel was very convenient for business. The bus to southbeach returned right in front of the hotel. Easy and inexpensive public transport to everywhere. The staff was friendly and helpfull. There was not much in the way of amenities, but for a business traveler it was fine and for the money the location was great. Right on the beach and boardwalk; near very nice larger and 3 times as expensive hotels. I will return if I travel to Miami again.
Unpleasant experience - posted on 01/20/2006
I was charged twice for my room. That, combined with a broken air conditioner in my room, a broken toilet seat (completely unattached), which housekeeping treated with a shrug, broken ice and soda machines on my floor, and the most uncomfortable bed and bedding to be found in any motel, made it not a pleasant stay.I'm aware of what part of the country I was in, but you'd think there would be at least ONE person fluent in English to help out with all the problems.
Service at counter - posted on 12/19/2005
The service at check in was lousy; it took ages and they just do not care about your comments. The only thing they are good at is ignoring you ...

The room and the vew was amazing in the Days Inn n Miami Beach on Collins ave. But the service is aweful, I was given a hard time at the desk checking in because they were unaware the Travelosidy used their credit card and it did not match mine, they were also very rude.
This hotel is disgusting - posted on 05/10/2005
I've never stayed in a hotel as disgusting as this one. The elevators are in horrible shape, smell like tobacco. The walls in the room had grafitti all over. Dry wall in bathroom was falling off, no hot water, closet without door, dirty carpet, beds w/o cover sheets, slept on bare mattress. I'll never stay in a Days Inn ever again!
Poor sevice - posted on 03/23/2005
The staff was tempermental. No one really knew what they were doing at the reception desk.
Poor Representative - posted on 03/07/2005
I have traveled extensively throughout the U.S. and most of Southeast Asia and this Days Inn Oceanside is far and away the worst hotel in which I've stayed in the United States. It does a great disservice to the Days Inn name and I am VERY reluctant to even consider another Days Inn because of it.
Good value and location for the money - posted on 11/23/2004
It was nothing special, but everyone was helpfull, rooms were clean and for us the location was perfect for attending a meeting at the much more expensive Fontainbeau. The pool was in the shade much of the day, but the beach was right there and the city bus stopped right at the front door. I would stay there again.
