Welcome to the wonderful world of Africa. Disney does it again with this unique hotel. Who else would have thought about pairing up cartoons with a safari? It’s a working wildlife reserve, which means while you are enjoying the glorious savanna view the animals are living life to the fullest in a protected environment. The warm and inviting lobby is your first indicator that this hotel is different from any other Disney hotel. Warm, rich color tones and hand-carved furnishings flow throughout the property so you always feel as though you are at an exotic getaway.

At Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge you can experience the best of both worlds. With theme parks and zoos just a few steps away from each other it can bring your vacation to a whole new level. Although some guests might miss the overt Disney tones, others might appreciate a break from the hoopla. There were very few complaints and many rave reviews. Yes, you are spending more to stay here but it is geared for guests looking for a unique adventure. Where else can you visit a talking mouse and see a giraffe during the same trip? Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge Accommodations

The African themed rooms transport you to a whole new world. The ‘Savanna View’ gives you the preferred view of the wildlife reserve while the ‘Water/Pool View’ rooms bring you views of the resort’s water areas. The ‘Standard View’ rooms show off the resort grounds. Step out on your private balcony and soak in the atmosphere that surrounds you.

Amenities offered

Dining here is a world-class experience, especially at Boma where you taste the flavors of Africa. The massive, and by massive we mean 11,000 square feet, heated swimming pool is fantastic all year round. Plus, the waterslide and whirlpools make this area even more enjoyable. Simba’s Clubhouse is a huge hit with the kids and the spa is a must for the adults. You can even do a little shopping at the Zawadi Marketplace and pick up a great memento to bring home.
