A Magical Experience - posted on 06/01/2007
We have gone to Disney World over the last 26 years and of all the hotels we have stayed at, this would be the best. The staff is friendly, the rooms comfortable and quiet, and the atmosphere created a relaxed and positive vacation experience.

One of the best vacations! Got an up-grade on our room at check-in. All of the staff was great and helpful. Pool was fantastic. Did the clambake and would highly reccommend. Rooms are large and very clean. Going back in a couple of months.

The location of the hotel is great but I don't think it's worth 300+ per night! Food is VERY pricey and room very plain; sofa very uncomfortable.
Noise problem - posted on 11/27/2006
Our third trip here and noise problems persist. Very noisy neighbors' kids late at night and poor sound insulation forced us to change rooms. Front desk was great accomodating us. Other problem was foreign speaking housekeeping staff that was rude. Not only didn't they say hello but they also seemed annoyed we interrupted their conversation walking by. Will try the Yacht Club next time and hope it is quieter.

Second visit here and again disappointed. Love the pool and the location, problem with other guests who are obnoxious and ill-mannered. Had to have our room moved at 11:30pm when neighbors had kids yelling, running and jumping in hall and room for over an hour. Rooms need better soundproofing and hotel needs to control problem guests. Foreign speaking housekeeping staff was rude and unfriendly.
Disney does it right - posted on 06/30/2006
You just cannot beat a Disney hotel. The staff was excellent, my son was sick one night and they were so helpful, towels, sheets everything. The room was so clean the housekeeping made an elephant one afternoon out of towels. The pool and little slide behind the big slide was perfect for my 7 year old and you could see the epcot fireworks at night from the pirate ship. I loved it and this was our second time there.
The best pool in the Magic Kingdom! - posted on 03/28/2006
The rooms were very clean, bright and attractive. They even smelled wonderful! The service was exceptional with everyone being frindly attentive and going out of the way to accomodate you. I would regard this as the best place to stay in Disney World unless you need the Magic Kingdom view!!!

preventive maintenance - posted on 01/28/2006
this resort needs to work on its preventive maintenence. my dads wheelchir accessable room had an automated door system that did not work. you would think that a luxury resort would have these things functional for their guests with special needs upon thir arrival.

One of the best - posted on 08/22/2005
They put up Christmas decorations while there overnight and they were beautiful. Rooms okay, but show wear. Chintzy with toiletries unless asked. Health Club better than expected. Slide closed and we were never told beforehand. Was the reason we chose this resort so we were angry. Staff didn't care. No compensation. Resorts are pricey. These room conditions anywhere else at this price, you'd be furious. You pay dearly for the Disney experience.

- We enjoyed one night before taking our cruise - Access to the Boardwalk and surrounding places was fun - Free boat ride to Epcot and other places - Kids enjoyed water slide, closed too early - The regular pool open late - Food pricey but tastey - Rooms did not smell, were clean and roomy for my family of four - Got the Florida resident rate - Highly recommended -

My family and I loved this resort. If you like EPCOT, this is the resort for you! You can walk right to the back entrance of EPCOT and see the fireworks right from the beach. The rooms are large (6 of us fit no problem). The pool is so neat and the sand bottom is fun!

Excellent Rooms - posted on 01/03/2005
The Beach Resort had larger and brighter rooms than the Wilderness Lodge. The pools at both locations were equally good, but the food options much better at the Beach. The walk to Epcot or the Boardwalk made easy access for older fun, but the drive to the Magic Kingdom would make this a bit difficult on families with very young children. Great place for ages 7 and up.

Great hotel, wonderful staff, great lobby, especially when you have to wait for your friends, or you're enjoying time with friends before going back to your rooms. Location is very good for walking to Epcot in the evening and there's a boat ride to MGM. The pool is the best, great for little ones because of the sand-bottom shallow end, and great for the older kids because it reflects a lazy river and it's great for playing hide and seek. The staff organizes games in the afternoon, like pool volleyball.
