This hotel/resort is near to Disney and other area attractions. There are several restaurants and shops nearby. The rooms were clean and had refrigerator/freezers. The kids liked the TV channels.

The location is good for access to area recreation.

They charged a surplus resort fee of $3.50; an annoyance.

Everything is good. The only problem is we asked a non-smoking room, but when we moved in, it was strong smell of smoke.

Met my expectations. The front desk staff was friendly and efficient. The breakfast buffet was decent. The hotel is well-situated for Orlando attractions.

Friendliness of the staff and the free high-speed internet.

That odor that permeates every 2 star hotel in Florida.

The pet-friendly Best Western Lakeside is near the Disney World Main gate and comprises 651 rooms designed for families on vacation. Items included with the room rate at this two-story, non-smoking hotel are scheduled transportation to all the Walt Disney World theme parks, high-speed Internet access, local telephone calls, in-room tea and coffee and parking. There are two meeting rooms available for business or social functions that can each accommodate 100 guests. Area landmarks and attractions include Universal Studios, the Wet n Wild Water park, SeaWorld, Universal Studios, numerous golf courses, the Downtown Disney entertainment and shopping complex, historic downtown Kissimmee, Gator World and the Pointe Orlando open-air shopping, dining and entertainment complex.

All the rooms have a work desk with high-speed Internet access, television with cable news and movie channels, On-Command movies, tea and coffee making facilities, refrigerator, in-room safe, iron and ironing board, hairdryer and a telephone with voicemail. There are 18 handicap accessible rooms.

This Best Western offers incredible value according to visitors to the Disney area who have stayed at this hotel. The location is quiet, set back from Kissimmees Route 192, and the staff here is very welcoming and provides top-notch friendly and efficient service. Many enjoyed spending the evening poolside watching a large screen television. It was a great place to meet other families and relax after a long day at the theme parks.
