The cattle and sugar industries first developed the city of Kissimmee and although the citrus business has helped the economy over recent years, the opening of Walt Disney World is one of the biggest reasons visitors flock here. It’s so close to Disney that it becomes a top choice for finding hotels. Don’t let that take you away from the many exciting opportunities Kissimmee has to offer you. You might be surprised at what you’ll find just around the corner… and no, it’s not a big mouse… he’s just a few miles away.

Kissimmee (which is kinda fun to type) is home to the famous Old Town. You’ll feel like you’ve step back in time when the roaring 20s were alive and well. There’s so much to see and do here, you’ll come back over and over again, just to experience it all. Car Cruising is a favorite pastime here. Thursdays is Motorcycle night and Friday night is packed with cars from 1973-1987. But if you want the classics, stick around on Saturday nights when over 300 pre 1972 cars line the streets. But car watching isn’t all you do here. There are 75 shops filled with unique gift ideas, fantastic restaurants ranging from Chinese to Pizza and amusement rides that everyone will love. The classic here is the Windstorm Roller Coaster – caution though, it might not be a great idea to eat before you get on this one. There are 18 rides in total to let you scream at the top of your lungs… although you may get a few funny looks if you let loose on the Ferris Wheel. Enjoy your evenings at the Blue Max, which features karaoke every night or at the Sun on the Beach where you’ll hear the latest tunes being pumped out.
