The 102 all-suites Springhill Suites by Marriott Jacksonville/Deerwood located in the heart of Deerwood Park, a suburban neighborhood that is home to some of Jacksonville’s finest restaurants, leading businesses and great shopping. The five-story, non-smoking hotel has one meeting room for business or social functions that can accommodate 20 guests. Items included with the room rate are high-speed Internet access, a hot breakfast buffet, parking, local telephone calls and coffee available in the lobby 24/7. All of the studio suites have separate areas for sleeping, working and relaxing. Nearby attractions and landmarks include five golf courses, Jacksonville University, the Alhambra Dinner Theater and the Adventure Landing Entertainment and Waterpark.

This hotel has been getting a mixed bag of reviews. Sadly more bad than good. You can get lucky and get good service and a room that is in good shape. Or, you can get shoddy service and a bathroom that is stained and in need of upgrading. YES, if you are prepared to demand Marriott quality and spend time getting service. NO, if you are the kind of person that gets in the wrong line in the bank. Hopefully things will brighten up here soon – a renovation program is promised - and the 50-50 rating will vanish along with the stained bathrooms. Read our customer reviews?

Springhill Suites by Marriott Jacksonville/Deerwood Accommodations

All the suites have a refrigerator, microwave oven and a wet bar. Other features are a work desk with high-speed Internet access, two telephones with voicemail, speakerphone and data ports, cable television with news and movie channels, pay-per-view movies, pullout sofa bed, alarm clock, tea and coffee making facilities, iron and ironing board and a hairdryer. Video games and players are available for rent.

This hotel has an outdoor swimming pool, whirlpool and a fitness center. The complimentary breakfast is the only meal served here but there are numerous places to eat nearby including Copeland’s, Don Pablo’s Mexican and a TGI Fridays. The 24-hour front desk has safe deposit boxes, information on area Orlando events and attractions and can organize a baby sitter. Other amenities include a coin-operated laundry, fax and copying services, valet-dry cleaning, vending machines and a picnic area with a barbecue grill.
