We found the room and beds to be clean. Friendly staff. Honor system grocery store which was well stocked. Great place to stay for a week or longer.

Very clean rooms, nice amenities, overall and excellent motel for the money.

We booked a non-smoking room. 1st room we checked into had a "strong" smoke odor. We were then offered another room. The bathtub was very slippery. We placed a towel on the bottom of the tub to prevent a fall. Suggest the hotel consider providing rubber mats for the showers.

Does not provide breakfast and housekeeping was slow with getting to the room to clean up before we were leaving to go to the beach.

The bed was very comfortable and you get to use the laundry facility.

Do not provide continental breakfast.

The Candlewood Suites Jacksonville, situated in the Southpoint business district, offers adequate space to unwind, work and enjoy. The hotel is a short drive away from downtown, beach, Prime Osborn Convention Center, the Jacksonville Landing, Greyhound racing-The Poker Room, St. Johns Center Mall and corporate offices. High-speed internet is complimentary. Onsite convenience store stocks yummy snacks and beverages. The Candlewood also offers eight accessible rooms for the convenience of differently abled guests. All public areas are air-conditioned and safety deposit boxes are available at front desk. There is a travel agent desk, tour desk, rental car desk and airline desk within the premises.

This pet-friendly Candlewood has everything you need for an extended stay and / or self-catering holidays. Most of the guests were happy with good-sized well-maintained rooms, in-room recreational amenities, kitchenettes, roomy bathrooms, complimentary internet, convenience store, gym and customer service. It offered good value for the money spent. However, some visitors complained about faulty billing, difficult-to-use alarm clocks, limited housekeeping service, malfunctioning air-conditioning units and noise.
