The Sheraton Yankee Clipper Hotel, located on the beach, is six miles from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. The location is convenient to the shops of Galleria Mall, Las Olas Riverfront, Beach Place and chic Las Olas Boulevard. Port Everglades, Broward County Convention Center, Jungle Queen Riverboat Cruises, Bahia Mar Marina, International Swimming Hall of Fame and Beach Trolley are within one-mile radius area. A concierge desk for itinerary planning, ice machine, luggage storage and safe deposit boxes are a big plus. The Sheraton also offers self- and valet-parking facility for the guests traveling by their own vehicles.

The waterfront Sheraton offers all facilities for family travelers. Visitors had a mix opinion about everything except beach location. Some of them were happy with well-fitted out clean comfy rooms, pool, food and sincere and polite staff. However, others griped about rundown smelly rooms, dirty carpets, ignored room preferences, dated amenities, shabby bathrooms, limited equipment in gym, high price, confusing layout, Internet fee and noise.
