The 174-room Courtyard by Marriott Sandestin in Destin is part of the Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort and provides quality accommodation for the upmarket leisure and business traveler. The five-story, non-smoking hotel operates a courtesy shuttle throughout the 2,400-acre resort which includes white sand beaches, four championship golf courses, a day spa, 15 tennis courts, restaurants and shopping. Items included with the room rate are high-speed Internet access, local telephone calls, a morning newspaper, parking and coffee available in the lobby 24/7. Landmarks and attractions away from the resort include Silver Sands Factory Stores, The Village of Baytowne Wharf, Big Kahuna's Water Park, Eglin Air Force Base, Okaloosa Walton College, Rave Motion Pictures, Topsail State Gardens and the Track Entertainment Center.

According to frequent visitors to Destin, this is one of the best places to stay. Guests said the service from the team of employees was superb and everyone worked hard to insure that all visitors had an enjoyable time. The rooms were clean and spacious and the beds very comfortable. Several clients noted there were less expensive places to stay nearby but the extra dollars spent here were well worthwhile. All the guestrooms have a well-lit work desk high-speed Internet access, Internet browser television with cable movie and news channels, pay-per-view movies, pullout sofa bed, alarm clock, tea and coffee making facilities, iron and ironing board, hairdryer and two-line telephone with voicemail. The bathtubs come with spray jets. Some rooms have the added benefit of a Jacuzzi.

The hotel has an outdoor swimming pool, whirlpool and a fitness center. The Courtyard Café is open for breakfast. There are several restaurants within the Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort including Another Broken Egg Café, a PF Chang’s China Bistro, Cantina Laredo and a Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse and Wine Bar. The 24-hour front desk has safe deposit boxes, information on area events and attractions and a list of restaurants that will deliver to the hotel. Other amenities include a full service business center, an ATM, limousine service, coin-operated laundry, valet dry-cleaning and vending machines.

From Northwest Florida Regional Airport (VPS) 26 miles: Leaving the airport, turn right onto Highway 85 North. Continue heading north on Highway 85 to the first traffic light. Turn left onto John Sims Parkway (Highway 20). Continue through Niceville, approximately eight miles. Follow the signs for the Mid-Bay Bridge (Route 293). Turn right at the traffic light just past the Waffle House, onto White Point Road. Head south over the Mid-Bay Bridge (there is a $2.50 toll to cross the bridge) to the second traffic light. Turn left onto Highway 98, heading east. Travel approximately six miles to Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort. You will find the Courtyard on the left hand side.
