The 155-room Holiday Inn University of Miami is located in the upscale city of Coral Gables and provides reasonably priced accommodation equally suited to the business or pleasure traveler. The three-story, full service hotel is on US 1 across from the University of Miami and a Metrorail station. Shopping highlights nearby include Dadeland Mall, Shops at Sunset Place, Village at Merrick Park, Coconut Grove and Bayside Market Place. The hotel has three meeting rooms available for business or social functions. The largest can accommodate 250 guests. Area landmarks and attractions include Parrot Jungle, Miami Seaquarium, Vizcaya and Gardens, Miami Metro Zoo, the Museum of Science, the Children's Museum, the American Airlines Arena, the Port of Miami and South Beach.

According to travelers who have stayed here, this is an older Holiday Inn with all the basics but nothing special. Plus points are the large rooms, swimming pool, reasonable rates and a team of friendly folk full of helpful information to help you find your way around. Many complained that the elevators were S L O W and housekeeping was not up to normal Holiday Inn standards. All the rooms have a work desk with high-speed Internet access, two-line telephone with voicemail and speakerphone, coffee and tea making facilities, television with cable movie and news channels, pay-per-view movies, CD player, mini-refrigerator, iron and ironing board, alarm clock and a hairdryer. Connecting rooms are available. Video games and players are available for rent.
