We really enjoyed our stay. We had children with us and the pool was fun as well as the park across the street. We were really close to several golf courses and not a far drive from the beach. The front desk was very knowledgeable and was able to give us directions to everything we asked. We will definitely stay again if we have another occasion to be in coral gables (which by the way is the most gorgeous city).

The location was wonderful! So convenient to everything!

The elevator was broken and housekeeping was okay, but not great.

Centrally located, pleasant physical setting, fairly quiet and clean with all the amenities one would want. I think the housekeeping staff is under-manned but friendly.

Location, pool.

The 155-room Holiday Inn University of Miami is located in the upscale city of Coral Gables and provides reasonably priced accommodation equally suited to the business or pleasure traveler. The three-story, full service hotel is on US 1 across from the University of Miami and a Metrorail station. Shopping highlights nearby include Dadeland Mall, Shops at Sunset Place, Village at Merrick Park, Coconut Grove and Bayside Market Place. The hotel has three meeting rooms available for business or social functions. The largest can accommodate 250 guests. Area landmarks and attractions include Parrot Jungle, Miami Seaquarium, Vizcaya and Gardens, Miami Metro Zoo, the Museum of Science, the Children's Museum, the American Airlines Arena, the Port of Miami and South Beach.

According to travelers who have stayed here, this is an older Holiday Inn with all the basics but nothing special. Plus points are the large rooms, swimming pool, reasonable rates and a team of friendly folk full of helpful information to help you find your way around. Many complained that the elevators were S L O W and housekeeping was not up to normal Holiday Inn standards. Most clients said they would stay here again while others said they would pay more next time and stay somewhere a little more modern and comfortable.
